Chinese students at the Faculty of Arts praise the speedy registration procedures at Alexandria University
In the interest of the Alexandria University administration to take care of the affairs of foreign students and help them with all the issues they face during their academic career, Dr. Hala Makled, Executive Director of the Department of Foreign Student Affairs and Welfare at the university, received a number of Chinese students studying at the Faculty of Arts at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels to discuss some of the problems that they face. The students expressed their happiness with the tangible development in the speedy completion of the registration procedures and the regularity in studying at the university
On her part, she welcomed with the proposals made by the students, and confirmed that Alexandria University took full sponsorship for the development of the system of foreign students studying at the university under the instructions of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, and Dr. Ashraf Al-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, acting as Vice President of the University For Education and Student Affairs, it is necessary to work to overcome all difficulties and quickly solve all problems facing foreign students
Trips for foreign students to learn about the landmarks of Alexandria
In the interest of Alexandria University to provide the best care for foreign students, and under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Wael Nabil, the Vice President for Student Education Affairs, the Department of Foreign Students Affairs and Welfare at Alexandria University organized a number of induction trips for students New foreigners to learn about the landmarks of Alexandria, the trips included the tourist places in Alexandria governorate, including the Qaitbay Citadel, the Roman theater and the pillar of the pillar.
Dr. Hala Makled, Executive Director of the Foreign Student Affairs and Welfare Department, indicated that organizing these trips came with the aim of introducing students to the most important tourist and archaeological sites in Alexandria, educating them, and providing them with historical information about these places. She added that the University's Foreigners Department has organized three trips so far, the first trip included 200 Sudanese students, and the second trip included about 150 students from South Sudan, Kenya, Chad, and various countries of the African continent, and the third trip included about 60 students from Syria, Iraq, Palestine, and Jordan, and she said that it is currently taking place. Organizing the rest of the trips to include the rest of the students of different Arab and foreign nationalities, under the supervision of the Director-General of the Youth Welfare Department at the university and a team from the administration.
For their part, the foreign students expressed their happiness with these trips, and their desire to learn more information about the important tourist places in Alexandria, which they consider their second home, and that they came to Alexandria with all hope of achieving their dreams in a better future for themselves and their country.
“Role of Engineering Towards Better Environment” RETBE’21
Towards achieving the 2030 vision, the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University is hosting the 12th International Conference “Role of Engineering Towards Better Environment” RETBE’21. The theme of the conference this year will be “Vision 2030: Engineering Challenges in the Midst of the Pandemic”.
The conference will be held from 20 to 22 December 2021 in Alexandria, Egypt. It continues to uphold the mission of the preceding successful series of RETBE conferences that started over 20 years ago, emphasizing the challenges facing the environment and the need for innovative actions and policies.
RETBE’21 conference is to bring together innovative Academia, Industry and Government in the fields of: Engineering, Technology and Environment to a common platform where researchers, scientists, and engineers can exchange their findings with global experts and officials.
Within the 2030 vision, the conference provides attendees and participants with the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas with peers from various parts of the world with the purpose of helping delegates to foster business and research relations for collaboration in the future

Under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Alexandria University organized, this morning, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the first scientific conference for genomics in Alexandria under the title “Applications of genomics in health and social development, in Dr. Abdel Aziz Bilal Hall, At the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf El-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Wafaa El-Sahly, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Othman, President of the Egyptian Authority for Compulsory Training of Physicians at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and Dr. Heba Qassem, Rapporteur of the Genome Scientific Committee at Alexandria University, members of the Genome Scientific Committee, Deans and Vice Deans of Alexandria University faculties and institutes, and genome researchers.
