The Governor of Alexandria and the President of the University sign a joint cooperation protocol

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, signed a cooperation protocol between Alexandria University and Alexandria Governorate regarding the provision of advisory services for projects implemented by the governorate in all fields.
This came in the presence of Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Deputy Governor, Major General Abdel Fattah Tammam, Secretary General of the Governorate, Major General Khaled Jumaa, Assistant General Secretary, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service Affairs, Dr. Said Allam, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Walid Abdel Azim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Community Service Affairs. and Dr. Ziad Al-Sayyad, Executive Director of the Engineering Center.
The president of the university indicated that under this protocol, cooperation will be established between Alexandria University represented by the Engineering Center and Alexandria Governorate, stressing that the university always puts all its capabilities and the experiences of its professors in the service of the governorate, and it has many experiences, projects and studies that can be used in development and service projects and future planning for the governorate. .
The governor thanked the University of Alexandria for this great scientific edifice, which is the scientific arm of Alexandria, praising the distinguished role played by the university in serving the community and providing advice and scientific expertise to the governorate in all fields, stressing that Alexandria University is the first house of expertise for the governorate of Alexandria.

A joint cooperation agreement with the American University of Louisville

In a continuation of fruitful international collaborations, as of today, Tuesday, February the 1st of the year 2022, new agreement of collaboration have been signed between Alexandria University Egypt under the leadership of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa and Louisville University Kentucky the American side, under the leadership of Dr. Lori Gonzalez, the Interim President of the University of Louisville (UofL), Also a set of agreements and protocols been signed between Egyptian side, under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Ayman Ashour, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for University Affairs. This collaboration encounters a set of Governmental Egyptian Universities under the umbrella of the previously signed agreement of international collaboration with Alalamein International University (AIU), under the leadership of Dr. Essam Elkordi, the President of the AIU.
It is worth noting that this collaboration encounters B.Sc programs under 2+2 with five Egyptian Universities. Namely, Mansoura University, Alexandria University, Assuit University, Benha University, and Helwan University. Attendees from the American side were: Dr. Lori Gonzalez, the Interim President of the UofL, Dr. Thomas Rockaway, Associate Dean, Programs and Initiatives, Director of Center for Infrastructure Research, Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Dr. Emmanuel Collins, the Dean of the Speed School of Engineering at the UofL, Dr. Ayman El-Baz, the Chair of the Department of the Bioengineering at the UofL, and Dr. Guruprasad Giridharan, the Associate Chair of the Department of the Bioengineering at the UofL. While the attendees from the Egyptian side were as follows: Dr. Mohammad Ayman Ashour, the Minister’s of Higher Education and Scientific Research Deputy for University Affairs, Dr. Essam Elkordi, the President of the AIU, Dr. Rouchdy Zahran, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AIU, Dr. Ashraf Bakr, the President of Mansoura University, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, the President of Alexandria University, Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, the President of Assiut University, Dr. Gamal Sosa, the President of Benha University, Dr. Mamdouh Mahdi, the President of Helwan University, and Dr. Nadia Badrawi, Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at Cairo University.
