El-Kurdi: Alexandria University is still lower in collecting the tuition fees
Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi declared that the university is still lowe in collecting the tuition fees. He stated the increase in tuition fees by 300 EGP for practical colleges and 150 EGP for theoretical colleges will be allocated for the development of the education process in the university through a central fund for this purpose.
This came during the urgent meeting of AU council of Deans held on Tuesday 12/9/2017 and headed by Dr. Essam El-Kurdi.
Medical examination for the new students in Alexandria University
Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi declared that the medical units in university faculties will start to receive the new students for the academic year 2017/2018 for medical examination. He indicated that the university develops a health file for each student to follow up his health status over the duration of his university life. He stated that the examination would include complete examination for Virus-C and treatment program for any patient for free under the national campaign in order to virus-C lunched by the president Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.
Alexandria University Deputy for Education and Students affairs Dr. Hisham Gaber stated that university clinics and laboratories are ready to receive the new students for medical examination according to a prepared timetable that all procedures will have been finished by 5th of October 2017.
Alexandria University condemns the terrorist attack that took place on a police convoy in Sinai
Alexandria University family headed by Prof. Dr. Essam El Kurdi condemned the terrorist attack that took place on Monday on a police convoy near El-Arish in northern Sinai.
The university staff and employees ask God Almighty to keep martyrs in paradise and wishes a swift recovery to the injured, and to inspire victim families with patience and solace. We also ask ALLAH to endue the victory the Egyptian army in their war against terrorism that aims to undermine Egypt's security, stability and national unity.
10th of September…."Medicine" organizes a workshop about the Egyptian Knowledge Bank
The Faculty of Medicine – Alexandria University organizes a workshop about the Egyptian Knowledge Bank on Sunday 10th of September at 10:00 am. The workshop will be held in Conferences Hall in the faculty building. The workshop will be delivered by Mr. Mahmoud Daood the Manager of Marketing and training in Liberary Information System Company and Coordinator of Training in the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.
Minister of Higher Education visits university hospitals in the first day of Eid Al Adha
Dr. Kaheld Abdel Aziz; Minister of Higher Education visited Al Mouwasat Hospital and Smouha university hospitals complex. The minister was accompanied by Dr. Hisham Gaber the President of Alexandria University and Dr. Ahmed Othman; Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. The minister insured hospitals readiness for Eid Al Adha and asserted to raise the emergency case level in all university
hospitals during the Eid.
The Minister visited the Intensive Care unit, Dialysis unit, catheterization unit and Neonatal unit in Al Mouwasat Hospital. He also visited the specializing care unit for children in Smouha hospital and make sure of all preparations for emergency cases and patients service.
The minister admired the Neonatal unit that includes 40 quipped with latest medical equipment and Artificial respiration and was satisfied with the conducted work where 16 new born child are existing in the Neonatal unit. He also visited specializing care unit for children and reviewed the medical status of children who had subjected to cardiac operation
