An international meeting for the Francophone universities recommends the development of a quality policy
The International Forum recommended on "Quality and evaluation in higher education service" organized by the Conference of Presidents of Francophone universities in the Middle East (CONEREMO) & the Francophone University AUF and the University of Alexandria at the end of its meetings under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Rushdi Zahran, head of the University of Alexandria and Mr. Herve Sabourin, Middle East director of the Organization international de la Francophonie on the need to develop special quality policy in every university, and the need to reach practical application through self-assessment and external evaluation stage, and focus on the quality of education and rehabilitation and get to know the experiences of other countries in this area, and to emphasize the need to focus on scientific research and development and attention to international institutions and to improve their quality and to take serious steps to reform and engage students in these policies and attention to the culture of assessment among all concerned development also interest in international classifications, taking into account the challenges and other targets by universities seeking to reach them.

Alexandria University Council approved during its meeting held recently, headed by Dr. Rushdi Zahran, head of the university to organize a ceremony in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 30, 2016 to keep pace with the "Africa Day" and invite the African ambassadors in Egypt to support the cooperation with African countries and offer the potential assistance that could contribute by faculties for organizing short visits or training courses or hosting of a semester to meet the needs of these countries, especially in the field of mining, medicine, pharmacy, engineering and electrical studies, as well as expanding the provision of scholarships to the children of these countries in the disciplines they need.
