The faculty of Physical Education receives the delegation of South Sudan

In light of Egypt’s interest in extending bridges of cooperation with the African side in order to enhance development, stability and construction, and under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Mohamed Bilal, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education in Abu Qir received, yesterday, the delegation of the State of South Sudan, headed by Mr. Gomaa Stephen , President of the Olympic Committee of the State of South Sudan, in the presence of faculty deputies and members of the college.
Bilal stated that the college is working to provide full support to its brothers in South Sudan, within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol signed by Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, President of the University, and Dr. Albino Paul, Minister of Youth and Sports of South Sudan, last April, which included the establishment of a program A study for South Sudanese students at the Faculty of Physical Education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, explaining that the college receives graduate students of both sexes from all Arab and African countries. He also suggested the possibility of merging sports and other scientific fields and the possibility of a student studying in any field taking courses in the field of sports. He also indicated that the college would provide a student coordinator to overcome any obstacles facing international students during their studies, and announced the intention of the university and college to give a full scholarship, free of charge, to study a diploma and a master's degree, to any sports champion who wins an African or international medal.
Mr. Gomaa Stephen, President of the Olympic Committee of South Sudan and head of the delegation, expressed his sincere thanks and happiness for this cooperation between Egypt and the State of South Sudan, and expressed his gratitude for visiting the city of Alexandria for the first time, and considering this day a special day to visit an ancient and distinguished university at the level of Egypt and Africa .
Dr. Tong Chor, Secretary of the Olympic Committee, also praised Egypt's keenness to provide sports leaders, from the youth category, stressing the importance of qualifying women's cadres in the fields of sports, administration, training, as well as decision-making.
Michael Matayang, the Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the State of South Sudan, also praised the interest of the Egyptian state in general, and the keenness of Alexandria University in particular on the existing cooperation between the two countries, stressing that making a good teacher is the primary goal on both sides, and that the Faculty of Physical Education Abu Qir has a leadership in this field. .
The visit included a presentation of the training program to be held for South Sudanese students at the bachelor's level, and a presentation of the training programs for South Sudanese students residing in Alexandria.

For winning the job of a diplomatic attaché, in the competition recently organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to fill these positions. They are graduates of the Political Science Department, the two divisions of study in both Arabic and English.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the faculty, expressed his happiness with the honorable representation of the College's graduates, and their ability to occupy prestigious positions in one of the largest strongholds of foreign policy.

AU president honors distinguished graduation projects in "Engineering"

Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi has honored the final student group in the Faculty of Engineering who developedagraduation project on concrete. The students conducted field study on the buildings around the leaning building in Azarita to insure the construction safety of those buildings.

Dr. Mohamed Ismail and Dr. Abdel Aziz konswa Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
The faculty deputy for Education and Students Affairs Dr. Said Allam pointed out that the project group includes one Syrian student.
The Rector also honored the engineering team that achieved the third place in the international ROV Competition for designing and building new generations of Rovers that was held in Long Beach City, USA in June 2017.
opened the Electronic Microscope Unit in the Faculty of Science

The President of Alexandria University Dr. Essam El Kurdi opened the Electronic Microscope Unit in the Faculty of Science on Sunday 25/2/2018. Dr. Kurdi opened the unit after upgrading and adding the new microscope JEOL 1400 Plus with a cost of 7 million EGP that considered a unique device in the university and will serve medical, agriculture and industrial fields in addition to energy and nano-technology.
Dr. Essam declared that the university is preparing a plan for a new building in the Faculty of Science similar to the building of the Faculty of Engineering with a cost of 450 million EGP. He also emphasized on calling the civil society organization and industrial companies to cooperate with the university to finance the new building.
The dean Dr. Alaa Ramadan stated that the new device has high image amplification efficiency up to 1.2 million times for diseases diagnosis, quality assurance, industry defects, water purification and other fields.
Dr. Azza Shehata; the executive director of the unit declared that the unit will serve the researchers from all the Egyptian universities through intensive training courses in addition to specialized courses for technicians.
The event was attended by Dr. Hisham Gaber the university vice president for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Ismail the university vice president for Matroh branch and Dr. Mokhtar Yousef the university vice president for Graduate Studies and Research in addition to faculty members and representatives from industrial companies.
