Prof. Dr. Hani Khamis Ahmed Abdo, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, recently honored the students of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature for their outstanding participation in the competition organized by the Chinese Consulate in Alexandria entitled “Getting to know China, the Spring Festival meeting the Winter Olympics in Beijing”, in which about 20 students from the Chinese language department, they are:
1- First prize winner: Nada Ahmed Mostafa
2- Winner of the second prize: Yasmine Sharif
3- Third Prize Winner: Omar Osama
4- Winner of the Most Popular Work Award: Yara Ahmed, Radwa Mahmoud
5- Winner of the Innovative Work Award: Abdullah Tariq
The honoring was attended by Dr. Hossam Al-Abbadi, the academic supervisor of the department, and Mrs. Dina Muhammad Adel, the assistant teacher in the department.

Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi signed an assignment decree for Dr. Mohamed Omar Hammad Abu Dohh the Deputy of the Faculty of Commerce to be the Acting Dean beside his current job.

Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi issued a decision to assign Dr. Manal Nabil Said Saudy as acting dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy starting from 1/8/2017 beside her current position as faculty deputy for Graduate Studies and Research.

Prof. Mohamed Bahy El-Din, the Deputy of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Students Affairs declared that the faculty will publish the results of second semester exams on its website on Sunday 16th of July 2017.

He also stated that complains will be received through the Student Affairs Department as well registration for summer exams starting from Sunday 17th of July 2017.

The Faculty of Physical Education in Abu Qir organized a symposium entitled "The Heroes of Operation Eilat ", in which the hero Captain Omar Ali Ezzedine and the hero Captain Mahmoud Ahmed Saad, one of the heroes of the two operations Eilat and the Excavator, participated.
Dr. Mohamed Bilal, Dean of the College, stressed at the beginning of the symposium that the College is pleased to receive the heroes of the glorious October victory, and to introduce the current generations of students to the great role that these heroes played for the sake of the country. He also stressed the importance of the role of the Egyptian Navy in Egypt’s military history, pointing out She was and will remain one of the strongest shields of the nation inside and outside the armed forces.
During the symposium, the heroes recounted part of their story during the completion of the operations and previous exercises, and they reported that the operations of Eilat and the digger were a fatal blow to Israel.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Mohab Abdel Razzaq, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Islam Amin, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, faculty members, and faculty students.
