In the interest of the Alexandria University administration to take care of the affairs of foreign students and help them with all the issues they face during their academic career, Dr. Hala Makled, Executive Director of the Department of Foreign Student Affairs and Welfare at the university, received a number of Chinese students studying at the Faculty of Arts at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels to discuss some of the problems that they face. The students expressed their happiness with the tangible development in the speedy completion of the registration procedures and the regularity in studying at the university
On her part, she welcomed  with the proposals made by the students, and confirmed that Alexandria University took full sponsorship for the development of the system of foreign students studying at the university under the instructions of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, and Dr. Ashraf Al-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, acting as Vice President of the University For Education and Student Affairs, it is necessary to work to overcome all difficulties and quickly solve all problems facing foreign students

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Prof. Dr. Wael Nabil, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Ashraf El-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. Prof. Dr. El-Sayed El-Saifi, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at Alexandria University, Prof. Ayman Ahmed Shteiwi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din El-Gharbawy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. In the presence of the faculty members and the supporting body, on Friday 10/1/2021 the official college celebration activities were held for the graduation of the 75th batch of Arabic Language Accountancy Division from its students. The graduates chanted the oath of loyalty and honor to graduate behind Dr. El-Sayed El-Saifi, Dean of the College.

Dr. Mohammad Ismail Abdo, Vice President of Alexandria University for Matroh Branch Affairs stated that the student is the core of the educational process so that development programs of the higher education should be directed to the student as the principle output of higher education. He indicated that AU is characterized by distinct educational programs in undergraduate and graduate levels and confers many joint degrees in collaboration with world universities.

That came during the symposium organized by the Committee of Higher Education Reform Experts H.E.R.E. in the conference hall of the Faculty of Medicine.

The symposium was attended by deans, deputies and faculty members of Alexandria University and other Egyptian universities.

Dr. Ismail added that higher education reform must address several items: education, students, graduates, faculty members, scientific research, community service and the development of the environment.

Prof. Dr. Seddik Abdel Salam, Vice-President of AU for Graduate Studies and Research declared that big universities focus its curricula and programs on the student and called to develop the pre-university education by developing appropriate curricula for the labor environment.

Dr. Yasser El-Shayeb, Director of the National Agency EU Programs NEO declared that the H.E.R.E committee is a selected group of Egyptian professors to perform continued development and researches with big universities in the European Union. He also stated that during 2017 a number of workshops will be held on medical education and students’ development.

The symposium included some presentations delivered by committee members on higher education reform issues.

The Faculty of Physical Education in Abu Qir organized a symposium entitled "The Heroes of Operation Eilat ", in which the hero Captain Omar Ali Ezzedine and the hero Captain Mahmoud Ahmed Saad, one of the heroes of the two operations Eilat and the Excavator, participated.
Dr. Mohamed Bilal, Dean of the College, stressed at the beginning of the symposium that the College is pleased to receive the heroes of the glorious October victory, and to introduce the current generations of students to the great role that these heroes played for the sake of the country. He also stressed the importance of the role of the Egyptian Navy in Egypt’s military history, pointing out She was and will remain one of the strongest shields of the nation inside and outside the armed forces.
During the symposium, the heroes recounted part of their story during the completion of the operations and previous exercises, and they reported that the operations of Eilat and the digger were a fatal blow to Israel.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Mohab Abdel Razzaq, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Islam Amin, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, faculty members, and faculty students.
