Dr. Essam Al-Kordi, President of Alexandria University, accompanied by Dr. Alaa Ramadan, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, inaugurated this morning, 8/26/2020, the laboratory building at the faculty of Science, the computer lab, and the scanning electron microscope unit.

Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi has honored the final student group in the Faculty of Engineering who developedagraduation project on concrete. The students conducted field study on the buildings around the leaning building in Azarita to insure the construction safety of those buildings.

The meeting was attended by AU deputy for Education and Students Affairs Dr. Hisham Gaber, AU deputy for Matroh bransh

Dr. Mohamed Ismail and Dr. Abdel Aziz konswa Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

The faculty deputy for Education and Students Affairs Dr. Said Allam pointed out that the project group includes one Syrian student.

The Rector also honored the engineering team that achieved the third place in the international ROV Competition for designing and building new generations of Rovers that was held in Long Beach City, USA in June 2017.

Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, attended yesterday evening, Thursday, 7/10/2021, the graduation ceremony of the 75th batch in Alexandria Engineering, in a ceremony in which Major General Mohamed Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Mohamed Badr El-Din, Assistant Commander of the Northern Region, Major General Ahmed Al-Azzazi, Vice President of the Engineering Authority for the Northern and Western Regions, Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Hisham Seoudi, Captain of Engineers in Alexandria, Faculty Vice Deans, former university presidents, and faculty members at the Faculty, Members of Parliament, representatives of bodies, parents and students.

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University, received Dr. Koszynka Dominik, Vice Dean for International Relations and Projects at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and Dr. Kristijan Buljanik, a lecturer in the same faculty, as part of an initiative to sign a cooperation agreement between the two sides.
Presented by Dr. Buljanic, during the visit a seminar for students of the special program of the faculty (Tourism, Hospitality and Heritage Management THHM) under the title: "Introduction to the European Union Single Market: The Four Freedoms"

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Economics Studies and Political Science organized today the first introductory forum for professional master's programs in economics and political science, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty, vice deans, a group of parliament members, faculty members, several representatives of civil society organizations, media professionals, and a number of researchers and students.
 
 
 
 
 
In his speech, Dr. Ahmed Wahban explained the specializations offered by the professional master's programs offered by the Faculty amounting to six programs, explaining that they come in response to the demands and needs of the Alexandrian community and neighboring governorates, especially members of civil society who play a prominent role in educational work and in serving Egyptian citizens.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Dr. Wahban pointed out that these programs are of high quality, especially since they come within the framework of an authentic and well-established scientific institution such as the Faculty of Economics and Political Science. He also stressed that the faculty took into account the economic aspects in designing these programs in terms of expenses, and also took into account the study dates and days so that study is limited to Fridays and Saturdays of each week.

Dr. Sherine Nasr, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, reviewed the most prominent characteristics of the professional master's programs at the faculty and the difference between them and the academic master's, in addition to providing an overview of those teaching from academics, specialists, diplomats and consultants in many related fields. She discussed the admission requirements and the target group, as well as the many benefits that will accrue to students and details related to tuition and administrative expenses, as well as the discount rates.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Mahmoud Zaqzouq, an economics lecturer at the faculty and one of the economics program coordinators, and Dr. Ragab El-Talkhawi, a political science lecturer at the faculty and one of the political science program gave more details related to the nature of the study, the courses and their objectives.
 
 
 
 
 
 
The forum activities ended with receiving questions and interventions from the attendees, which were answered by Dr. Sherine Nasr.
