Chinese students at the Faculty of Arts praise the speedy registration procedures at Alexandria University

In the interest of the Alexandria University administration to take care of the affairs of foreign students and help them with all the issues they face during their academic career, Dr. Hala Makled, Executive Director of the Department of Foreign Student Affairs and Welfare at the university, received a number of Chinese students studying at the Faculty of Arts at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels to discuss some of the problems that they face. The students expressed their happiness with the tangible development in the speedy completion of the registration procedures and the regularity in studying at the university
On her part, she welcomed  with the proposals made by the students, and confirmed that Alexandria University took full sponsorship for the development of the system of foreign students studying at the university under the instructions of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, and Dr. Ashraf Al-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, acting as Vice President of the University For Education and Student Affairs, it is necessary to work to overcome all difficulties and quickly solve all problems facing foreign students

The faculty of Arts honors its students participating in the Chinese Consulate's Competition

Prof. Dr. Hani Khamis Ahmed Abdo, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, recently honored the students of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature for their outstanding participation in the competition organized by the Chinese Consulate in Alexandria entitled “Getting to know China, the Spring Festival meeting the Winter Olympics in Beijing”, in which about 20 students from the Chinese language department, they are:
1- First prize winner: Nada Ahmed Mostafa
2- Winner of the second prize: Yasmine Sharif
3- Third Prize Winner: Omar Osama
4- Winner of the Most Popular Work Award: Yara Ahmed, Radwa Mahmoud
5- Winner of the Innovative Work Award: Abdullah Tariq
The honoring was attended by Dr. Hossam Al-Abbadi, the academic supervisor of the department, and Mrs. Dina Muhammad Adel, the assistant teacher in the department.

Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science, Alexandria University, Organizes Second Employment Forum for its Students

Within the framework of Alexandria University’s keenness to activate its role in serving community and making efforts to support its alumni in the labour market, and the keenness of the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Sciences to build the scientific capabilities of economics and political science alumni in order to contribute to the knowledge renaissance and comprehensive development, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the faculty organized the second employment forum for its students at the faculty’s headquarters in Smouha area. Participants included over 30 entities of interest to the graduates, representing private companies, agencies, banks, research and decision-making support centers, and a group of ministries as well as press and media institutions.

Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty, indicated that the forum included several introductory lectures on the various participating sectors, as well as lectures on building a career path and developing skills. On the sidelines of the forum, several seminars and workshops were held at the faculty’s conference hall that addressed important topics related to youth, the most prominent of which was an introductory seminar on small and medium-sized projects that are launched by the Alexandria Businessmen Association. The seminar was presented by Dr. Sherif Shoman, the association’s representative.

The conference was supervised by Dr. Mohamed El-Khatib - Economics lecturer at the faculty and Executive Director of the Labour Market Training and Qualification Unit. The opening was attended by Dr. Osama El-Adly, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Abdelwahab Naga, Professor of Economics at the faculty, and a group of distinguished faculty members, the supporting staff, and executives concerned with entrepreneurship, as well as many entrepreneurs, owners of institutions and projects, representatives of civil society organizations, media representative s, and hundreds of faculty graduates, researchers, and students.
 
 

Appointment of Dr. Amina Mokhtar as Deputy of the Faculty of Commerce for Community Service and Environment Development

Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi signed an appointment decree for Dr. Amina Mokhtar Yakout to be Deputy of the Faculty of

Commerce for Community Service and Environment Development for three years.

The Faculty of Nursing obtains international accreditation from the German Accreditation Council

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Nursing has obtained international accreditation from the German Accreditation Service for Higher Education Programs (AHPGS), after meeting all academic standards for quality and accreditation requirements.

This came after a field assessment visit conducted by a team from the German Accreditation Service to the Faculty. During the visit, they conducted a comprehensive review of all components of the educational process, including academic programs, infrastructure, quality assurance systems, and other aspects related to effective partnerships with university hospitals and healthcare institutions, as well as the Faculty's support for continuing education and postgraduate programs.

Dr. Nefertiti Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, indicated that this accreditation represents a historic step in the Faculty's journey. It is the result of the continuous efforts of all faculty members, including faculty members, administrators, students, and the quality team, as well as the unlimited support provided by Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, to the Faculty of Nursing to achieve this distinguished international level. This opens up broader horizons for the Faculty's graduates to engage in the international labor market and actively participate in healthcare systems around the world.

For its part, the German delegation praised the college's level of strategic planning, infrastructure, faculty competence, and commitment to providing high-quality education in line with European standards.
