Dr. Roshdy Zahran, the President of Alexandria University appointed Dr. Enas Mousa Diab, the professor at Music Education Department in the Faculty of Specific Education as faculty Deputy for Education and Students Affairs for three years.

The Institute of Medical Research and the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels - Alexandria University have obtained the accreditation certificate from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education & Accreditation after they have completed all 14 standards of quality and standards for education; graduate studies, community service, administrative structure, In addition to postgraduate programs (MSc, PhD).

       The number of faculties and institutes in the university that obtained accreditation after the accreditation of the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education & Accreditation for the Institute of Medical Research and the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels: (Faculty of Physical Education for Girls & Boys, Agriculture, Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, and the High Institute of Public Health).

      Dr. El-Kordi congratulated the dean, faculty members, staff of the Quality Assurance Unit for obtaining the assurance of education, which is a new entitlement and a new commitment to maintain their status at the level of Egyptian universities and to develop their educational process to reach the global level.

Alexandria University Council for Community Service and Environment Development during its meeting held on Wednesday 21 September 2016 under the chairmanship of Dr. Essam El-Kurdi, the university deputy for Community Service and Environment Development and acting president of the university was informed that the Supreme Council of Universities and adopted the professional Diploma in Reproductive Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine. The Supreme Council also approved the new internal regulation of the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research with credit hours system.


Dr. Abdul Aziz Konswa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering congratulated and honored the student Saber Fekry Sakhr from the Department of Production Engineering for achieving the first place in the international contest for youth and sustainable development ZERO HACKATHON 2016 which was held in Rome – Italy.

The competition was held in the period from 29 November to 2 December 2016 under auspices of Food and Agriculture

Organization (FAO), the International Youth Foundation and the International Organization for Society Development in Italy.

The student Saber Sakhr invented a new technique for water purification named TWOPRO and designed to be one of the effective solutions for the problem of water pollution suffered by the international community in genera and Egypt in particular. According to the World Health Organization estimates, more than 768 million people depend on the supply of non-improved water containing high levels of pollutants.


In the framework of the celebration of AU Diamond Jubilee, the Faculty of Commerce held charity market for students. The event was held under auspices of Acting Dean Dr. Yehya Abdel Ghani

Abu Al-Futouh to strengthen social solidarity. The market started on Tuesday 20/12/2016 with participation of faculty members and the Graduates Community of the Faculty of Commerce in addition to Dr. Mohamed Omar Hammad Abu Doh, the Faculty deputy for Community Service and Environment Development.
