Alexandria University decides to issue scientific journals (cloud journals)
AU council decided to issue cloud journals in a safe and stable manner, according to the same approach that was done in the university e-mail. The university's president, Prof. Essam El-Kurdi, confirmed that he had contacted Microsoft, LINK and the Ministry of Higher Education to provide 2 servers from the Ministry's share. El Kordi confirmed that is currently dealing with the servers to issue the first journal (cloud journals) in preparation for issuing the rest of scientific journals about 43 journals, which contributes to raise the university's ranking globally.
Alexandria University receives Kenya Ambassador
Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El Kurdi has received Kenya Ambassador Mr. Otyano Juffe Makwienga on Sunday 20/5/2015. The meeting discussed how to strengthen the relationships and solve problems of the Kenyan students in Alexandria University.
During the meeting, Dr. Kurdi stated AU keenness on cooperation with the Kenyan universities like the current relations with Moi University in several areas. He also welcomed the Kenyan students who wish to study and train in the Faculty of Medicine through dedicated courses and training programs. Dr. Kurdi announced for increasing the number of grants for Kenyan students upon a request from the ambassador.
The Kenyan Ambassador spoke about some problems facing the students in AU and asked the Rector to provide temporary license to work for practical training.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hisham Gaber the university vice president for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Othman the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Ibrahim Rehab the AU Advisor for African Affairs.
Dr. Said Allam is Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
Alexandria University President; Dr.Essam El-Kordi congratulated Dr. Said Allam for being appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for three years upon the republican decree issued on Saturday 19/5/2018.
Dr. Kurdi receives Vice President of Cardiff Metropolitan University
On Tuesday 15/5/2018, Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El Kurdi received Dr. Mohamed Lotfy the Vice President of Cardiff Metropolitan University in UK. The meeting was attended by AU Vice President for Education and Students Affairs Dr. Hisham Gaber, AU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Dr. Mokhtar Youssef and Dr. Rasha Al Shinity the Vice Director of Projects Management Unit in the university.
The two sides discussed cooperation opportunities and experience exchange in fields of excellence in the two universities. They also talked about establishing mutual scientific programs in order to enhance the world ranking of both universities through cooperation with prestigious world universities and updating the curricula to be up to date with latest researches.
