Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, received this morning, Wednesday, 8th June 2022, a delegation of the Fulbright Authority in Cairo headed by Dr. Maggie Nassif, Director of the Authority, to discuss ways of cooperation and strengthening the scientific research system at Alexandria University, and developing the capabilities of researchers in various fields And the exchange of cultures, information and experiences between the two sides, in the presence of Dr. Wael Nabil, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim Abu Al-Naga, Acting Vice President for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, Deans of the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering and Law, and Dr. Rasha Al-Shenety, The Executive Director of the Project Management Unit at the university, Dr. Muhammad Rizk, Emeritus Professor at the College of Engineering, and Ms. Mai Ayyad, Program Coordinator at the Fulbright Commission.

Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, honored the team of the Society of Petroleum Engineers at Alexandria University, on the occasion of their winning the Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter Excellence Award 2022. To raise the name of Alexandria University in all local and international forums.

Dr. Dina Ahmed Al-Jayyar, assistant professor at the faculty of Engineering and the academic advisor to the team, stated that the award is given every year for outstanding performance in student activities, organizing international conferences, summer activities, the extent of participation in the activities of the Students’ Union, supporting school students, and based on the evaluation of the activities provided by students. During the 2021/2022 academic year, she stressed that the goal is to raise the capabilities and skills of students at the undergraduate level and qualify them for the local and international labor market in line with international quality standards by providing them with all the skills for success and in accordance with the latest international regulations. Dissemination and exchange of technical knowledge related to the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, renewable energy, and related technologies to stakeholders.

Dr. Heba El-Kady, Dean of the Institute, the Higher Institute of Public Health, Dr. Sameh Riad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment in Alexandria, deputies, a large number of institute professors, researchers, representatives of the Ministry of Health and Environment, and professors from the faculties of science and engineering, the Directorate of Agriculture, and electricity and energy companies, in the conference hall of the Higher Institute of Public Health.
