Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Fine Arts organized on Sunday an art exhibition of a group of artworks on the October War, designed by faculty members and the faculty's assistant staff, as part of the activities of the community service and environmental development sector at the faculty.

The organization of the exhibition coincides with Alexandria University’s celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the victories of the glorious October War, in the presence of Dr. Dina Mandour, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohamed Keshk, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and a group of faculty members, supporting staff, visual artists, and students.

In this context, Dr. Dina Mandour indicated that the exhibition includes a selection of artworks depicting the Sixth of October Victory. She pointed out that the artworks vary between painting, photography, collage, mosaic art, and specialized projects in interior design and paintings, as well as contemporary designs and interior architecture inspired by the victories of the October War, and the environmental balance in the design of public services in the city of Alexandria, in addition to a group of graphic and sculptural works about the October War.
 
 
 
 
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Keshk confirmed that the Faculty of Fine Arts is in the process of issuing a booklet to document artistic works that were specially designed for the victories of the glorious October War, in addition to holding a cultural competition including national songs, painting, photography, poetry, literary texts, illustrated short stories, musical performance, composing music, and journalistic writing. He added that in conjunction with the faculty’s celebrations of the October Victory and within the framework of implementing the presidential initiative “100 Million Health,” the Faculty of Fine Arts will start organizing an event on early detection of chronic diseases, kidney disease, cancerous tumors, blood pressure diseases, diabetes, and vaccination against Covid-19, in the period from the 3rd until the 4th of October at the clinic of the main faculty building, and the clinic at the decor department building.
 
 
 

 

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Essam Al-Kordi, President of Alexandria University, inaugurated, on Saturday, 08/15/2020, the development work at the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University, with a value of 65 million pounds, in the presence of Major General Muhammad Al-Sharif, Governor of Alexandria, and Dr. Hisham Jaber, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Alaa Ramadan, Vice President for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, Dr. Wael Nabil, Dean of the College, and a group of faculty members, civil society organizations and charities.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, in cooperation with the Environmental Affairs Agency, organized, on Thursday, corresponding to 10/20-2022, a symposium entitled “Climate change between risks and adaptation” In the presence of Dr. Said Allam, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Essam Wahba, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and the Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Walid Abdel Azim, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and Dr. Sameh Riad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment in Alexandria and Head of the Agency Environmental Affairs for the West Delta Region, Dr. Hossam Maghazi, the former Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Dina Al-Jayar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, the conference coordinator, and a group of faculty members, heads of companies’ boards and experts.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the activities of the second international conference organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, and the accompanying exhibition, will commence next Wednesday morning, the 23rd of November, and will last for two days.

Dr. Mervat Qassem, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and President of the Conference, said that this year's conference adopts "Egypt's Vision for Health Care 2030". The Egyptian Medicine Authority and more than 21 Arab and foreign countries are participating in this year’s edition of the conference, and it hosts nearly 60 scholars of pharmaceutical and medical sciences from various Egyptian and international universities, and more than 1,000 participants from Egypt and around the world. In addition, 20 medical institutions and Egyptian and international companies in the field of manufacturing and marketing medicine, devices, equipment, and public pharmacies will participate in the conference, which is considered one of the largest international conferences for pharmaceutical and health sciences held in Egypt and the Middle East.

The Dean added that the conference will also organize 18 sessions that include 53 scientific lectures, dialogues, and workshops, to be delivered by 21 scientists from international universities and 32 Egyptian scientists, and it also includes an exhibition of 118 research posters to get acquainted with the latest findings in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, therapeutics and pharmacoeconomics.

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ali Abdel Mohsen, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, attended the ceremony honoring the top fifty students of the Class of 2024. The ceremony was held in the Grand Hall of the Faculty's Conference Center.
 
 
 
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hend Hanafi, former President of Alexandria University; Dr. Ashraf El-Ghandour, former Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Dr. Mahmoud El-Khashen, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Academic Supervisor of Alexandria Private University; Dr. Iman Youssef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Tamer Abdullah, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mahmoud El-Zalbani, Dean of the Medical Complex at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and former Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Ashraf Saad Galal, former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Mohamed Farid Hamdy, Secretary-General of the Doctors Syndicate; Dr. Abdel Moneim Fawzy, Head of the Doctors Syndicate in Alexandria; Major General Hisham Shaheen, Commander of the General Military Hospital in Alexandria; and a host of department heads, faculty members, and parents.
 
 
 
 
During the ceremony, Dr. Ali Abdel Mohsen expressed his happiness to be among his students and their parents. He extended his sincere congratulations to the outstanding students, wishing them further progress and success in their future careers. He called for greater efforts to maintain this excellence. He also congratulated the parents who created the appropriate environment and exerted their utmost efforts to reap the fruits of their children's success and excellence. He emphasized the importance of equipping graduates with continuing education, acquiring new skills, keeping up with the latest scientific research, and communicating with their faculty members to keep pace with the revolution in technological and professional developments. He highlighted the distinguished position of the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, which holds an advanced ranking in international rankings due to the faculty's commitment to developing its curricula, infrastructure, and laboratories, as well as the excellence of its professors and researchers. He recommended that graduates adhere to the noble traditions of the medical profession and continue to engage in scientific research and innovation, which represents the engine of progress for all countries.
 
 
 
 
In her speech, Dr. Iman Youssef congratulated the outstanding students on their graduation, emphasizing that the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, is a prominent institution with an international reputation, distinguished for graduating cadres capable of serving the nation in various medical and health fields. She also thanked the faculty members for their assistance in facing the challenges and difficulties during their years of study. She expressed her appreciation to the students and their parents for their efforts during their years of study, affirming the college's continued support and advice to its students and graduates in their professional and future careers.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Tamer Abdullah congratulated the graduates and their parents on their outstanding graduation from the prestigious Faculty of Medicine. He emphasized the importance of continuing to communicate with their faculty members to benefit from their extensive experience, as the faculty's professors represent exemplary models of community service and humanitarian care in various health sectors. He wished the graduates continued success.
