President Sisi honors five professors from Alexandria University in the Science Day
After it has been stopped since 2014, the celebration of the Science Day returns in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on
Sunday 6/8/2017, where a number of scientists, top Thanaweya Amma students and university graduates were honore.
The President Sisi honored five professors from Alexandria University who received the Nile and State appreciation awards for 2015 and 2016.
Alexandria University headed by Prof. Dr. Essam El-Kurdi congratulates the honored professors namely:
Prof. Dr. Mamdoh Saad Masoud the Professor Emeritus at Faculty of Science as representative of the winners of State appreciation awards for 2015.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed El sayed the Professor Emeritus at Faculty of Science who obtained State award for excellence 2015 in sciences.
Prof. Dr. Esmat Hussein Hegazy the Professor Emeritus at Faculty of Agriculture who obtained State appreciation award 2016 in agricultural sciences.
Prof. Dr. Morsi Abu Saaud El Suda the Professor Emeritus at Faculty of Agriculture who obtained State appreciation award 2016 in advanced technological sciences that serve agricultural fields.
Prof. Dr. Samir Abdel Azim the Professor at Faculty of Agriculture who obtained State award for excellence 2016 in agricultural sciences.
AU students achieved the first place in the contest of sport shows competition for Egyptian universities in "Red Sea"
Alexandria University students team won the first place in the sports event for universities students 2016/2017. The event was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports during 6-8 August 2017 under the slogan of "Egypt is strong by its youth". The activities was held in the Indoor Hall of the Sports Development Center in Red Sea governorate. The event was attended by 340 students from 17 universities, with a view of integrating the universities' youth in one body and improving the culture and the spirit of cooperation through constructive dialog and sports.
Alexandria University President Prof. Essam El-Kurdi will receive the winning team and the supervisory staff just after their return from Hurghada and he will honor them for this good achievement.

Assignment of Dr. Ahmed Saad Eldin as acting dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Boys
Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi issued a decision to assign Dr. Ahmed Eldin Omar as acting dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Boys starting from 1/8/2017 beside his current position as faculty deputy for Education and Students Affairs.
Assignment of Dr. Amal Farahat as acting dean of the Institute of Medical Research
Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi issued a decision to assign Dr. Amal Farahat Baioumy as acting dean of the Institute of Medical Research starting from 1/8/2017 beside her current position as institute deputy for Community Service and Environment Development.
