Alexandria University grants 46 PhD and 127 master degrees during July-17
Alexandria University Council in a meeting on Thursday, July 20, 2017, headed by the President of the university Dr. Essam El-Kurdi approved the promotion and appointment of 37 of faculty members. The council also adopted 46 PhD and 127 master degrees conferred by university faculties and institutes.
The Council adopted the cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding between Alexandria University and universities of N'jexia, Liniey, Shan Dong province, COMESA University for regional integration, Belgrade University, National
University of Ireland, Universiti Teknologi MARA from Malaysia, University of Zanzibar from Tanzania and Information Technology Institute of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Next August, old student to begin transferring
Alexandria University Council in a meeting on Thursday, July 20, 2017, headed by the President of the university Dr. Essam El-Kurdi agreed to start students transferring for old students in the first week of next August until one month after study beginning.
For new sudents, transferring will begin after the announcement of the result of the first and second phases, in accordance with the transferring criteria set by the Supreme Council of Universities
In appreciation to their contributions... AU Council honors retired Deans
Alexandria University Council during its meeting on Thursday, July 20, 2017, headed by Dr. Essam El-Kurdi adopted the results final year examinations of all university faculties.
The Council honored deans of the faculties of Arts, Pharmacy and Physical Education for girls, Physical Education for boys and Medical Research Institute who had ended their deanship period. The honoring came as appreciation for their efforts and contributions in service of the education process.
AU President: standardizing the administrative systems for serious and integrated follow-up
Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi stressed on deputies to continue in administrative development to allow central follow up of the departments of procurement, warehouses, Legal affairs and engineering Affairs. This came during the meeting of Community Service and Environment Development Council affairs, held on Saturday, 15 July 2017.
Dr. Kurdi pointed out the trend toward standardizing the administrative systems for serious and integrated follow-up. He added that the action plan of faculties' warehouse during the coming period would allow recycling to reduce wastes and creating economic solutions.
The Council approved the research project of Prof. Nabil Hassan Abbas, the professor of engineering entitled "Intelligent Network technology" that will be funded by the European Union - Erasmus program + involving 7 universities, including three European universities.
"El-Kurdi" receives vice President of the Jinhua Polytechnic University to discuss ways of cooperation in scientific fields
Dr. Essam El-Kurdi, President of the University of Alexandria has received Dr. Yang Yan, President of the Jinhua Polytechnic University, China to discuss ways of cooperation in the scientific fields and especially Arabic teaching to non-Arabic speakers in addition to medical education.
Dr. Yang Yan invited AU President to visit Jinhua Polytechnic University during his visit to China in September to consolidate cooperation between the two universities. The meeting was attended by Dr. Lina Habib, the Executive Director of Language, Systems and Information Unit and the supervisor of the Center for Teaching Arabic to Foreign Learners at the Faculty of Arts.
