"El Kurdi" receives the Cultural Counselor of the German embassy in Cairo to discuss the preparations for the German week in the Nile Delta
Alexandria University President received Dr. Essam El Kurdi received Mr. Simon Brumbies, the Cultural Counselor of the German embassy in Cairo. The two sides discussed the preparations for the German week in the Nile Delta, which is organized by the German embassy in four governorates in Egyp. The German week is scheduled to be held in Alexandria in November 2017. They also reviewed the proposed cooperation in cultural and scientific fields and activities between the two sides, in which the German academic and scientific bodies in Egypt participate.
"The Supreme Council of Universities" agreed to change the name of the Hotel Management College in Matroh to the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels
Alexandria University Council, Matrouh branch during its session held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 announced that the Supreme Council of Universities agreed to change the name of the Hotel Management College in Matroh to the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels affiliating to Alexandria University of, Matrouh Branch.
The Council also adopted the results of the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Kindergarten, and the Hotel Management College (Faculty of Tourism and Hotels).
Announcing exams results in all faculties by the next week
Alexandria University Council for Education and Students Affairs headed by Dr. Hisham Gaber appraised the efforts of faculty members and the administrative staff to announce exams results of 2016/2017 in the scheduled dates. He indicated that exams results in all faculties will be announced by the next week.
The council also approved virus C analysis within the medical examinations for new candidates for the academic year 2017/2018 in coordination with the Ministry of Health and under supervision of the Faculty of Medicine.
Assignment of Dr. Abu Dohh as Acting Dean of "Commerce"
Alexandria University President Dr. Essam El-Kurdi signed an assignment decree for Dr. Mohamed Omar Hammad Abu Dohh the Deputy of the Faculty of Commerce to be the Acting Dean beside his current job.
Graduate Studies and Research Council to adopt 8 agreements for scientific cooperation with world universities
Alexandria University Council of Graduate Studies and Research during its session on Tuesday 18 July 2017 under leadership of Dr. Hisham Gaber adopted eight agreements and memorandums for scientific cooperation with world universities. The agreements
included cooperation agreement with N'nejaxia University, China to cooperate in joint training programs for graduate and undergraduate students. In addition, the council adopted protocol of cooperation between AU Science and the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Communication and MOU with the University of COMESA for regional Integration.
Cooperation agreements was adopted between AU faculties and international universities from Serbia, China, Malaysia, Tanzania and Republic of Ireland.
The council also discussed the follow up reports of travelling Demonstrators and assistant Lecturers in world universities to know their problems and try to clear it.
