Cultural Affairs and Missions sector announces for scholarships to collect the scientific materials for doctoral degree, each for a year, and scientific missions to conduct post-doctoral for five months, provided  by the Czech Republic in the fields of (Engineering - Basic Research - Theoretical and Applied Physics - Czech Language and Literature).

The deadline to apply for these grants shall be:

• On Monday, 01/02/2016.




Dr. Mokhtar   Youssif;  the Vice President of Alexandria University for  Graduate Studies and Research stated that the university pay great attention to educational and cultural cooperation with Nile Basin Countries to support Egypt role in qualifying scientific personnel  in different disciplines in these countries.

Dr. Mokhtar added that the university allocated 35 scholarships in the academic year 2018/2019 for master and PhD students from Nile Basin Countries. The number of scholarships applicants increased because of application via university site. Youssef highlighted the increased number of applicants that reached 55o applicants for master programs and 250 for PhD programs from different Nile Basin Countries.

He added that all nomination will be collected in 15th of next July and the university will announce the selected students on 1st of August.


DR. Seddik Abdel Salam; Vice President of Alexandria University announced for the available grants through various programs

provided by Science and Technological Development Fund (STDF) to finance scientific researches as following:

* Basic & Applied Research Grants (STDF-BARG)

* Reintegration Grants (STDF-RG)

* Young Research Grants (STDF-YRG)

Dr. Seddik Abdel Salam, Vice President of Alexandria University for Graduate Studies and Research declared that and application is now open for the International Parliamentary grant - Arab Countries Program 2016 in according to the announcement received from Deutscher Bundestage.

This program provides grant opportunities for university graduates master's and doctoral degree candidates, and young professionals and artists to study and conduct research in the United States.

Master's degree grants: maximum of two years for persons wishing to pursue postgraduate degrees in U.S. Applicants in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) Agriculture and Economics are encouraged to apply.

Non-degree grants: Six to nine months for artists who wish to conduct field reach to attend master classes with professionals in the U.S.
