Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated Dr. Tamer Abdallah Helmy on the occasion of the presidential decree appointing him as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, wishing him success and affirming the University’s full support to ensure the advancement of the Faculty under his leadership.

It is worth noting that Dr. Tamer Abdallah obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, in 1995. He later received his Master’s degree in Critical Care Medicine in 2000 and his PhD in the same specialty in 2006. He progressed through academic ranks until he was appointed Professor of Critical Care Medicine in 2017. Throughout his career, he has held several key leadership positions, including Head of the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Executive Director of Alexandria University Hospitals, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in addition to being assigned as Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

Dr. Tamer has supervised more than 76 Master’s theses and 23 PhD dissertations, and has published over 50 scientific papers in reputable local and international journals. He is also a founding member of the Egyptian Society of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, where he served as Head of its Scientific Committee and Treasurer until 2023.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed yesterday, Saturday the 28th of December 2024, the first forum and entrepreneurship exhibition for alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University.
 
 
 
 
The forum was attended by Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Governor of Beheira, Dr. Hind Hanafy, member of the Senate and former President of the University, Dr. Iman Youssef, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Tamer Abdallah, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Saad Galal, Professor of Ophthalmology and former Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Naglaa Mashaal, Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of the General Program for the Pre-Bachelor's Stage, in addition to a group of former Vice Presidents of the University, former Deans and Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine, faculty members, graduates of the Faculty and students.
 
 
 
 
 
In his speech, Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen stressed that this day is one of the distinguished days at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, noting that the idea of holding this forum came in order for previous and future generations to meet and exchange experiences and success stories achieved by previous generations in order to be a motivator and encouragement for future generations. Dr. Abdelmohsen said that since its establishment in 1942, the Faculty of Medicine has graduated many generations of skilled doctors who have distinguished themselves scientifically, administratively and in leadership, as they have held many managerial positions in various medical specialties in Egypt and the world. He pointed out that these alumni are the human force that has given the faculty its distinction and leadership as a result of their excellence and abundant knowledge. He stressed that the goal of the forum is also to raise the faculty's QS ranking, which is based on the reputation of graduates through their research output and career history, noting that the alumni have contributed to the faculty being among the top 300 medical colleges in the world.
While Dr. Iman Youssef confirmed that the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, is proud of the its alumni all over the world because they are the best ambassadors for their country in all medical specialties, stressing that the faculty graduates of experienced doctors have established the values of noble behavior, wise leadership and loyalty and are a role model for all subsequent generations, noting that the forum aims to provide support to students and maintain ties to build strong bridges between different generations.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Tamer Abdallah stressed that the forum is one of the manifestations of celebration and loyalty to the alumni who have made efforts and giving over the years and in appreciation of what they have provided during their academic career and their scientific and research contributions, and to motivate students and future generations to continue to excel and succeed by listening to the success stories achieved by those graduates. He stressed that the alumni have held the highest administrative positions in all sectors of the state, whether in medical or non-medical institutions, and stressed that the Alumni Association Office works to facilitate all services for graduates and shed light on their successes.
 
 
 
 
 
Dr. Ashraf Saad Galal expressed his pride for belonging to the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, which has contributed to graduating distinguished medical cadres in various specialties whose efforts are inexhaustible. He pointed out that the faculty graduates have not only excelled in the medical field, but they have also excelled in other fields such as art, sports, poetry, literature, history, archaeology and music.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Naglaa Mashaal pointed out that the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, is one of the distinguished faculties in all medical specialties in Egypt and the world, stressing that the forum brings together the giants of the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, to exchange experiences and motivate current and future generations to follow in their footsteps.

 Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, fourth-year students of the Painting Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts implemented a mural entitled "Mascot of Civilizations" on the wall of the main building of the Faculty, as a graduation project for Batch 62, under the supervision of Dr. Mona Ragab, Emerita Professor in the Department of Mural Painting at the faculty.

 
 
 
Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa thanked the project team for the effort they made to produce this artwork with wonderful designs that express different civilizations, which comes in line with the university's vision, which aims to direct students' energies, talents, abilities and creative ideas to serve the community, linking graduation projects to the needs of society and the surrounding environment, stressing the need to generalize this experience in various faculties. He also stressed that the university is working to encourage innovation and creativity in various research and practical fields and link them to the surrounding environment in order to contribute to development in various fields.
 
 
 
Dr. Mona Ragab confirmed that the mural consists of 12 artistic panels done by 12 students, and extends over an area of 60 square meters. She confirmed that the implementation of the mural took a year and a half of continuous and diligent work using natural materials such as stone, marble, granite and mosaics, and was installed on the wall of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Mazloum, Alexandria. She pointed out that the project was based on the subject of art history and its collective idea was inspired by the great civilizations that left their mark on the world. This project brings together the essence of some of the most influential civilizations in history, starting with the Stone Age, ancient Egyptian civilization, Mayan and Aztec civilizations, Graeco-Roman civilization, Coptic, and Islamic civilizations. She pointed out that the mural includes distinctive archaeological stones, in addition to main symbols and decorations representing different civilizations, as well as texts and languages that express the identities of these civilizations.
 
 
 
It is worth noting that the project was carried out by 12 students with the assistance of the teaching assistant, Mona Abbas. The students are: Esraa Mohamed, Asma Abulhassan, Aya Khafaga, Rowan Ashraf, Rowan Wael, Simone Moawad, Tasneem El-Kurdi, Maryam Hussein, Mona Asfour, Abdelrahman Saeed, and Nardine Naeem.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, Acting Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Bahey El-Din Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ahmed Abdelfattah, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in Saba Pasha, and Dr. Mahmoud El-Maghrabi, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, inaugurated today, yesterday, August 4, 2024, the activities of the "Steps into Field" training project in its sixth edition for students of the three faculties, with the participation of 200 male and female students, in the conference hall at the Faculty of Agriculture in Shatby, and in the presence of the vice deans of the three faculties participating in the project.
 
 
 
The project aims to qualify and train students on the basics of various agricultural and animal projects, to graduate students capable of managing their own project and working on farms and serving development projects in the country, as well as seeking to establish and implement a production project on the ground.
 
 
 
 
The project will include lectures by a number of professors from Alexandria University faculties and business leaders in the agricultural and veterinary fields. Training will also be provided by the various companies and factories participating in the project. The training program will last for 45 days.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the "First Career Week" concludes today. Organized by the University Centre for Career Development at the Faculty of Business, the event lasted from Sunday, May 4th until the 8th, at the centre’s headquarters at the Faculty of Business. The event aims to enable students and graduates to explore available career opportunities, connect with industry experts, and acquire the skills necessary to enter the job market.
 
 
 
The closing day will witness the launch of the "Career Compass" program, the first-of-its-kind career guidance program at Alexandria University. This program aims to organize individual meetings for students with experts in various fields to gain information tailored to each student's needs and concerns, based on their area of interest.
 
 
 
Dr. Ayman Sheteiwy, Dean of the Faculty of Business, noted that this is the first time the University Centre for Career Development has organized a comprehensive Career Week, as part of the Centre's efforts to enhance students' readiness for the labour market and directly connect them with real opportunities for training, employment, and personal development. He explained that the five-day event included a variety of activities, including meetings with major companies, practical workshops, and personal interviews, in addition to events related to entrepreneurship and career guidance.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Alaa El-Din El-Gharbawy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, noted that the Career Week provided real opportunities for training and employment for the Faculty of Business's students and graduates, through direct meetings with prestigious companies such as Sprints, Azimut, Prometeon, Chefz, Teleperformance, Tac Universe Agency, Mubasher Trade, and the National Bank of Egypt, in addition to guidance sessions presented by distinguished experts in their fields.
 
 
 
 
Dr. Aisha Hamdy, Director of the University Centre for Professional Development at the Faculty of Business at Alexandria University and supervisor of the week's activities, said that the week hosted a select group of guests and speakers, including Dr. Sally Hosni, Human Resources Expert, Ms. Alaa Dahshour, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at PepsiCo, and Mr. Osama Qutb, known as the "Wolf of LinkedIn," in addition to representatives of business incubators and accelerators ICE Alex, CREATIVA, and other partners supporting students' journeys towards their professional futures.
