Alexandria University looking at ways to recruit students into projects designed to serve the community
Education and Student Affairs Council held on Monday, January, 18, 2016
under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Hisham Gaber, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs discussed ways to recruit energies of students into projects designed to serve the community and the development of the environment through student activities and graduation projects to serve the objectives of the community or the University Council at Faculty of Fine Arts to prepare a proposed schemes for the development of the Suez Canal after a visit to the governorates of Port Said, Ismailia and Suez and hold meetings with governors and identify the nature of its cities, also the chairman of the Board explained that these projects will be presented to the governors to put what they see fit in place.
Alexandria University is considering the establishment of study programs between more than one specialization
The Student Council at the University of Alexandria reviewed during its meeting held on Monday, January 18, 2016, the report of the formed committee to prepare a two-way programs between faculties that keep pace with the global scientific developments and contribute to bridging the needs of the community of new disciplines through the establishment of new study programs between more than one specialization; in order to prepare graduates correspond to the modern requirements of the labor market, the Council decided to form a committee to study ways to create these new disciplines and prepare a proposal degrees to students who will join to these disciplines .

Student Council at the University of Alexandria decided during its meeting on Monday, January 18, 2016, the formation of a committee to prepare a project that aims to serve the development of the Alexandrian community, faculties and students to take part in it during the summer vacation and collaboration between the sectors of education, students, and community service and development environment at the university.

Dr. Mohamed Abaza, vice president of Alexandria University for Affairs of Matrouh branch inspect the progress of mid-year examinations for the academic year 2015/2016 at faculties of Matrouh branch in order to check on the regularity of examination.
Dr. Abaza During the visit, stressed the importance of applying the regulations and controls of examination committee, and the provision of medical, security service and safety of the students and the availability of a sufficient number of observers in each committee.
The international scientific conference on nursing care science
The Faculty of Nursing - Alexandria University organized the international scientific conference on nursing care science in the Great Hall of the conference center – Semouha, in the period from 4 to 5 January 2016.
The conference launched under the title of “Infection control and personal hygiene” under auspices of Dr. Rushdi Zahran President of the University and Dr. Maha Adel Salem, Dean of the Faculty.
The importance of the conference is its main emphasis of effective contribution to the development of the nursing career and raising the level of nursing care with the participation of educational institutions from Egypt and Arab and foreign countries. The Conference focused on highlighting the importance of infection control and patients health, exchanging scientific expertise at local and global level that aim to control the infection and personal hygiene.
Participants from several Arab and European universities attended the conference including Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Sweden, Italy and Czechoslovakia. The attended the opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Ezzat Khamis, the former university deputy and the coordinator of TEMPS project also in addition to faculty deputies and deans of some Faculties of Nursing in Egypt and many of faculty members, assisting staff and employees.
