Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, in cooperation with the Environmental Affairs Agency, organized, on Thursday, corresponding to 10/20-2022, a symposium entitled “Climate change between risks and adaptation” In the presence of Dr. Said Allam, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Essam Wahba, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and the Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Walid Abdel Azim, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and Dr. Sameh Riad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment in Alexandria and Head of the Agency Environmental Affairs for the West Delta Region, Dr. Hossam Maghazi, the former Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Dina Al-Jayar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, the conference coordinator, and a group of faculty members, heads of companies’ boards and experts.

For winning the job of a diplomatic attaché, in the competition recently organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to fill these positions. They are graduates of the Political Science Department, the two divisions of study in both Arabic and English.


For his part, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the faculty, expressed his happiness with the honorable representation of the College's graduates, and their ability to occupy prestigious positions in one of the largest strongholds of foreign policy.

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and Dr. Nivine El-Qabbage, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Wael Nabil, Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Student Affairs, accompanied by the deans and vice-deans of the university faculties, inaugurated this morning the second edition of the Alexandria University Exhibition of Handicrafts and Heritage Products, organized by Alexandria University in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity from the 23rd until the 27th of October, at the Social Sciences & Humanities Campus in Shatby.

 

 

Dr. Wael Nabil stated that organizing this exhibition comes out of the belief in the role of Alexandria University in spreading the culture of teamwork and encouraging the participation of students and graduates alike, to present their common ideas and diverse projects, thus creating job opportunities and achieving a suitable financial return for students.

 

 

This second edition of the exhibition includes 200 participants from Alexandria University students and graduates, representing the Faculties of Fine Arts, Specific Education, Early Childhood, Arts, and Commerce, as well as 20 exhibitors from the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Directorate of Social Affairs in Alexandria, where it contains a variety of traditional and heritage products, artworks, handicrafts, antiques, apparel, leather products, accessories, sweets, textiles, among other crafts.

Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University of Alexandria, and Dr. Jeffrin Holmes, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA, on behalf of Dr. Pamela Bionnett, Vice President and Director of Academic Administration of the University of Alabama, signed a joint cooperation agreement to establish study programs in the fields of biomedical engineering, civil engineering and engineering. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ashraf Al-Ghandour, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Said Allam, Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Muhammad Rizk, Biomedical Engineering Program Coordinator, the College of Engineering’s deputies, and the delegation of the American University of Alabama.
