Alexandria University Launches an Integrated Program for Managing and Developing Academic Performance

Under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the university has launched a new program aimed at enhancing the academic performance system and strengthening the efficiency of units supporting the educational process. The launch took place in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
The program aims to support the units of pedagogical innovations and distance learning, as well as develop assessment and evaluation units and electronic examination systems across the university’s faculties, in line with the strategic plan of the Education and Student Affairs Sector.

Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim affirmed that this development comes within the framework of Alexandria University’s strategy, led by Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, which is based on utilizing all available resources to modernize the educational process and deliver learning outcomes capable of competing locally and internationally. He emphasized that developing human capabilities goes hand in hand with digitization and governance efforts to support the university’s future vision.

For his part, Dr. Sameh Nakhla, Director of the Center for Assessment, Evaluation, and Pedagogical Innovations, explained that the restructuring process aims to enhance the system of e-books, e-learning, and digital examinations, leading to an advanced educational experience that offers students high-quality learning aligned with modern standards.

Alexandria University Students Visit the Italian Consulate and Engage with the Mediterranean Exhibition

In line with Alexandria University’s commitment to broadening students’ horizons and enhancing cultural and intellectual exchange with various international institutions, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, a group of students visited the headquarters of the Italian Consulate in Alexandria, where they toured the Mediterranean Exhibition hosted inside the consulate.
During the visit, the students enjoyed an informative briefing delivered by the Italian Consul in Alexandria, Mr. Mario De Pasquale, through which they learned about the cultural and civilizational dimensions of the Mediterranean region and its shared heritage that unites its countries and peoples throughout history. They also had the opportunity to interact with the exhibition’s displays, which highlight the historical, artistic, and architectural connections between Egypt and Italy and shed light on the Mediterranean’s role as a bridge for cultural and civilizational exchange.
The visit also included enriching discussions between the students and the exhibition organizers, contributing to the development of the students’ skills and broadening their cultural and academic perspectives.
This visit comes as part of the university’s keenness to support activities that enhance students’ cultural awareness, open new horizons for exploring different cultures, and promote dialogue among civilizations.
Alexandria University Named “Most Sustainable University in Africa” for 2025 by UI GreenMetric

Alexandria University has been awarded the title of “Most Sustainable University in Africa for 2025”, according to the results of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, announced today, 5 December 2025, during the international ceremony hosted in Taiwan with the participation of hundreds of universities from around the world.

Professor Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, received the international recognition virtually, affirming that this achievement reflects the university’s advanced position in applying global sustainability standards and its ongoing efforts to build a green campus through clean energy transformation projects and the adoption of environmentally friendly policies across university faciliti .He noted that this international recognition is the result of collective work and successful institutional collaboration within the university, and serves as evidence of the effectiveness of its strategic plan to promote sustainable development. He emphasized that the university is moving forward with major projects that contribute to enhancing campus quality of life and strengthening its African leadership.

For her part, Professor Afaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that this award represents a significant milestone in the university’s journey toward global excellence and leadership in the fields of environment and sustainability. She explained that it reflects the university’s continuous efforts to develop environmentally conscious policies, support sustainability and green-transition initiatives, including its major collaboration with three leading industrial companies to produce green ammonia from green hydrogen.
The UI GreenMetric ranking team also praised the remarkable progress achieved by Alexandria University across various sustainability indicators, describing this advancement as an inspiring model for African and Arab universities.
Alexandria University Students Visit the 4th International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025”

In line with the directives of the political leadership aimed at enhancing national awareness and reinforcing the values of loyalty and belonging among university youth, and under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces organized on Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025, a field visit for a group of the university’s male and female students to the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. The visit included a tour of the 4th International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025,” organized by the Egyptian Armament Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Military Production and the Arab Organization for Industrialization, under the auspices of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The exhibition, held over four days, serves as a leading global platform for countries, companies, and organizations specialized in armament and defense systems to showcase the latest advanced military technologies and applications. It reflects Egypt’s commitment to keeping pace with global developments in defense industries and enhancing its military capabilities in support of national security.
During the tour, the students visited several pavilions of participating countries, companies, and organizations, where they had the opportunity to learn about the latest defense equipment and technologies, view models of advanced weapons used by the Egyptian Armed Forces, and explore modern defense systems displayed by various international participants.
For his part, Colonel Mohamed Maher emphasized the importance of organizing such visits and their role in raising students’ awareness of the Armed Forces and their continuous efforts to develop their defense capabilities. He affirmed that these activities contribute significantly to strengthening national belonging among university youth and broadening their understanding of the progress achieved by the state in the field of defense industries.







Launch of the 31st Scout Art Exhibition and the 2nd Scout Carnival at Alexandria University

As part of the University’s commitment to supporting student activities and developing their artistic and scouting skills, and under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the 31st Scout Art Exhibition and the 2nd Scout Carnival, in the presence of faculty deans and officials from the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
The events included an inspection tour inside the various exhibition pavilions, which featured a number of activities and competitions showcasing students’ skills and scouting abilities. The attendees then proceeded to open the 31st Scout Art Exhibition, held this year under the theme “Rover Scouts Through the Ages.” The exhibition presented a collection of artistic works and décor pieces that offered a creative portrayal of different eras and civilizations.

Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, expressed his appreciation for the level of organization, meticulous preparation, and quality of artistic presentation. He affirmed that these events reflect the ongoing efforts to strengthen student activities and support students’ talents while enhancing their skills in creativity and teamwork.
