Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Signs Cooperation Protocol with Misr Travel Company
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Abeer Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and Dr. Maysa Youssef, Head of the Sales and Operations Follow-up Sector and Vice President of Misr Travel Company, signed a cooperation protocol, today, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, with the aim of facilitating the task of faculty members and employees at the university, in performing scientific tasks in missions and grants and participating in conferences, given the extensive experience of Misr Travel Company in the flight reservation system according to the latest global reservation systems, in addition to providing training opportunities for faculty students.

The signing of the protocol was witnessed by Dr. Hanan El-Assar, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Katat, Head of the Tourist Guidance Department at the Faculty, faculty members and their assistants, Ms. Lamia Hammam, General Manager of Branches and Sales at Misr Travel Company, Mr. Amr Youssef, General Manager of Saad Zaghloul Branch in Alexandria at Misr Travel Company, and Ms. Abeer Salah El-Din, Director of Smouha Branch at Misr Travel Company.

During her speech, Dr. Abeer Attia thanked Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa for providing full support to the Faculty to achieve this cooperation, and stated that training opportunities will be provided for students of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Misr Travel Company and Hotels affiliated with it, as they will be trained in flight reservations, tourism systems, hotel management and tour guidance. She added that an office will be allocated for Misr TtavelCompany at the headquarters of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels to facilitate fruitful cooperation between the two parties.
Dr. Maysa Youssef pointed out during her speech that Misr Travel Company will achieve more accomplishments in cooperation with the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, through organizing trips to various tourist attractions in Egypt, in addition to booking and issuing tickets for faculty members traveling on grants, scientific missions and conferences. She added that Misr Travel Company is one of the business sector companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Tourism and Cinema, and stressed that the state provides full support to the company to revive it as the first company in the tourism sector in Egypt, as there are 30 branches of the company across the republic.

Concludes "First Career Week" at Faculty of Business and Launch of "Career Compass" Program
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the "First Career Week" concludes today. Organized by the University Centre for Career Development at the Faculty of Business, the event lasted from Sunday, May 4th until the 8th, at the centre’s headquarters at the Faculty of Business. The event aims to enable students and graduates to explore available career opportunities, connect with industry experts, and acquire the skills necessary to enter the job market.
The closing day will witness the launch of the "Career Compass" program, the first-of-its-kind career guidance program at Alexandria University. This program aims to organize individual meetings for students with experts in various fields to gain information tailored to each student's needs and concerns, based on their area of interest.
Dr. Ayman Sheteiwy, Dean of the Faculty of Business, noted that this is the first time the University Centre for Career Development has organized a comprehensive Career Week, as part of the Centre's efforts to enhance students' readiness for the labour market and directly connect them with real opportunities for training, employment, and personal development. He explained that the five-day event included a variety of activities, including meetings with major companies, practical workshops, and personal interviews, in addition to events related to entrepreneurship and career guidance.
Dr. Alaa El-Din El-Gharbawy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, noted that the Career Week provided real opportunities for training and employment for the Faculty of Business's students and graduates, through direct meetings with prestigious companies such as Sprints, Azimut, Prometeon, Chefz, Teleperformance, Tac Universe Agency, Mubasher Trade, and the National Bank of Egypt, in addition to guidance sessions presented by distinguished experts in their fields.
Dr. Aisha Hamdy, Director of the University Centre for Professional Development at the Faculty of Business at Alexandria University and supervisor of the week's activities, said that the week hosted a select group of guests and speakers, including Dr. Sally Hosni, Human Resources Expert, Ms. Alaa Dahshour, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at PepsiCo, and Mr. Osama Qutb, known as the "Wolf of LinkedIn," in addition to representatives of business incubators and accelerators ICE Alex, CREATIVA, and other partners supporting students' journeys towards their professional futures.






Seminar on Developing Spirit of Loyalty and Belonging in Light of Hostile Psychological Operations
Within the framework of the political leadership's directives on the necessity of raising awareness among young people and developing their spirit of belonging, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, in collaboration with the leadership of the Popular Defense Forces and the Military, Alexandria University organized today, Tuesday, the 11th of February 2025, an educational seminar entitled "Developing the Spirit of Loyalty and Belonging in light of hostile psychological operations", at the Faculty of Engineering, lectured by Dr. Taher Nasr, Visiting Lecturer at the Military Academy for Graduate Studies and Strategy.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Walid Abdelazim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Wael El-Meghlani, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, Colonel Mohamed Maher Abdelaziz, Director of the Military Education Department at Alexandria University, Lieutenant Colonel Shehab El-Din Magdy, Deputy Director of Military Education at Alexandria University, and a group of faculty members, assistants at the faculty, and students.
During the event, Dr. Taher Nasr reviewed the visions that aim to enhance national values among young people and their contribution to combating misconceptions that may be promoted by some groups. He also touched on the importance of education and training as a basic means of qualifying individuals and how to invest available resources to develop the necessary skills and competencies. Dr. Nasr also addressed the elements related to enhancing the national belonging of young people, defining thought terrorism and the weak points that lead to being vulnerable to thought terrorism and the effective steps to confront and prevent them, in addition to many axes, including the social dimension of national security, which is an influential factor in national security and is responsible for activating its security as an individual or a society, which requires preparing citizens in a sound manner in terms of his health, morals, cultures and heritage. At the end of the seminar, Dr. Taher stressed to the students the importance of achieving psychological stability by dealing with events with thought, increasing national cohesion, the ability to deal with personal psychological frustrations, overcome despair ,maintain the stability of the Egyptian family, and increase internal cohesion among them.





President of Alexandria University Congratulates Student Who Won Bronze Medal in World Youth Weightlifting Championship
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated El-Sayed Ali Attia, first-year student at the Faculty of Physical Education for Boys in Abu Qir, and the champion of the Egyptian weightlifting team, for winning third place and the bronze medal in the 2024 World Junior Championship which was hosted by the Spanish city of Leon, for 61 kg category, with a total weight of 271 kg, , wishing him continued success on both the academic and sports levels.
Dr. Asaad El-Kiki, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education for Boys, expressed his happiness at one of the faculty’s students achieving this accomplishment, explaining that the student Elsayed Attia has a record full of achievements in the tournaments in which he participated, as he won first place in Ghana in the 2024 All-African Games, first place in the African Junior Championship Egypt 2024, second place in the World Junior Championship Mexico 2023, and first place in the African Clubs Championship Egypt 2023, and also received in 2024 the Medal of Excellence from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
Faculty of Economics and Political Science Honours Three Alumni Appointed as Diplomatic Attachés
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Acting President of Alexandria University, congratulated the graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, who won the position of Diplomatic Attachés in the competition recently organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, namely:
Mr. Youssef Ibrahim Kharboush, Teaching Assistant at the Department of Political Science, Ms. Thuwaiba Mowaffaq Haggag, Graduate of the Department of Political Science, and Mr. Sherif Reda Abul-Ela, Diploma in Political Studies.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Wahban, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his pleasure with the high efficiency and honourable representation of the graduates of the Faculty, and their ability to occupy prestigious positions in one of the largest strongholds of foreign policy.
