Within the framework of Alexandria University's keenness to enhance its cultural and scientific role and provide students with the opportunity to participate in various cultural and educational activities and events, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and the supervision of Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Alexandria University organized a group of free visits to the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, in which 3,500 Egyptian and non-Egyptian university students participated, throughout the book fair period, which continues until February 5th.
During these visits, students visited the pavilions of the Ministry of Defense and Interior, the Administrative Control Authority, the Public Prosecution, the Ministry of Higher Education, and many other pavilions, as well as various publishing houses, and the pavilions of participating sectors and countries, where they learned about the latest editions of books and publications, and viewed the cultural events and various artistic performances that would encourage students to read, learn, and expand their cognitive horizons in all fields, which contributes to building an aware and educated generation.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian General Book Authority is organizing the Cairo International Book Fair during the period from January 23 to February 5, 2025. It is held at Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement under the slogan "Read.. In the beginning was the word", with the participation of 1345 publishing houses from 80 countries and 6150 exhibitors of literary and intellectual publications. 80 countries representing the continents of the world are
participating in it the book fair that has a rich cultural program that includes more than 600 diverse activities and events.
