Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, and in the presence of Dr. Saeed Allam, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Essam Wahba, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Engineer Khaled El-Saeed, Vice President of Orascom Company, signed a joint cooperation protocol to provide specialized training programs to serve students and graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, and qualify them for the local, regional and international labor markets.

The signing of the protocol was witnessed by Dr. Walid Abdelazim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Wael El-Meghlani, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Students Affairs.

In his speech, Dr. Saeed Allam stressed that this agreement is in line with one of the most important strategies adopted by Alexandria University, regarding cooperation between academic institutions and major industrial companies and linking the educational process to the requirements of the national industry, in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 in supporting the knowledge-based economy and improving the outcomes of the educational process by providing distinguished training opportunities for students of the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University.
Dr. Essam Wahba welcomed the company's delegation to the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, stressing that this agreement will be the beginning of a sustainable relationship between the two parties. He added that the graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University are internationally recognized for their scientific and academic excellence, especially since the faculty has advanced educational programs. Dr. Wahba indicated that the faculty is always working to raise the competitiveness of its students at all levels, by providing several training programs and agreements with major international companies and institutions, in order to bridge the gap between the academic side and the needs of the labour market.
Engineer Khaled El-Saeed, Vice President of Orascom Company for Human Resources Affairs, confirmed that the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, enjoys a distinguished academic reputation and works according to an integrated system to raise the efficiency of the educational and research process according to the needs of the labor market, pointing to the distinguished educational programs offered by the faculty in various engineering specializations.
