The Alexandria University Council, headed by Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, University President, approved the nominations of Alexandria University for the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Awards for the year 2023, as follows:
• Nomination of Dr. Esmat Mohamed Hussein Hegazy, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, for the Nile Prize (in the field of science).
• Nomination of Dr. Manal Fawzi Abdelwahab, Emerita Professor at the Faculty of Science, for the Women’s Appreciation Award (in the field of water, energy, and environmental sciences).
• For the Supreme Council of Culture Awards in 2024:
• Nomination of Dr. Mohamed Shaker Abdelkhalek, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, for the Nile Award for Egyptian Creators (in the field of arts).
• Nomination of Dr. Saeed Saad Mohamed Badr, Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, for the State Appreciation Award (in the field of arts).
• Nomination of Dr. Mona Abdelghani Haggag, Emerita Professor at the Faculty of Arts, for the State Appreciation Award (in the field of social sciences)
• Nomination of Dr. Howayda Mohamed Abdelfattah El-Sebaei, Professor and Head of the Photography Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, for the State Award for Excellence (in the field of arts).
• Nomination of Dr. Fatheya Fathi Abdo El-Salami, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts, for the State Award for Excellence (in the field of social sciences).
