Dr. Essam Wahba, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, received a visit from Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Deputy Governor of Alexandria, at the Faculty of Engineering, in the presence of Dr. Walid Abdelazim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The meeting reviewed the various aspects of cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and Alexandria Governorate, and the strategic partnership in many projects currently taking place on the governorate’s land. The Deputy Governor also appreciated the strength of the relationship between Alexandria University and the governorate, the University having the advisory role in all aspects related to national projects.
The mechanism for preparing and reviewing detailed plans for unplanned areas in Alexandria Governorate, which the university is preparing within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the two sides, was also reviewed, in the presence of work teams from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, and Engineer Noha Abdellatif, Director of the General Department of Urban Planning.
After the meeting, another extended meeting was held in the presence of the work teams and students of the architecture departments from the Urban Design Division to review the work that had been done in preparing the detailed plans and discussing them from all aspects in preparation for presenting them to civil society and the authorities in charge for authentication and approval.
