In its session held on Monday the 15th of May, the Council of Education and Student Affairs at Alexandria University, headed by Dr. Wael Nabil Abdelsalam, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, honoured nineteen students from the Faculty of Education, who exceeded more than double the required number in literacy teaching for citizens during their graduation project.

Dr. Nabil confirmed that Alexandria University is keen to provide all forms of support to confront the problem of illiteracy and eliminate it, pointing out that the university participates in all medical convoys that the state launches for the poor and most needy villages with a team from the Alexandria University Centre for Adult Education, believing in the necessary role of Alexandria University in community participation.
 
 
 
Dr. Mohamed Anwar Farrag, Dean of the Faculty of Education, reviewed the role of the Alexandria University Centre for Literacy and Adult Education, which has been able, since its establishment, to educate more than 13,000 illiterate individuals, and to open 7,800 so far in the governorates (Alexandria - Gharbia - Kafr El-Sheikh - Marsa Matrouh - Minya - Beheira), pointing out that this number is constantly increasing. He explained that literacy teaching has become a graduation requirement for every senior student at the faculties of the educational sector at Alexandria University (Faculty of Education - Faculty of Early Childhood Education - Faculty of Specific Education - Faculty of Physical Education for Boys - Faculty of Physical Education for Girls), as it became obligatory for every student to eradicate the illiteracy of 6 individuals as a condition for their graduation.
 
 
 
• Dr. Wael Nabil congratulated the Faculty of Fine Arts on the Supreme Council of Universities decree to accredit the Art Edition Program and the Publication Art and Illustrations Program.
• The Council was informed of the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities to convert the Societal Issues course into an online course all over the Republic.
 
 
 
• The Council discussed the proposals submitted by different faculties regarding amending the regulations governing the Credit Hours System, to keep pace with the continuous developments in the labour
