On the evening of Wednesday the 12th of April 2023, Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, witnessed the collective Iftar event for international students, organized by the Department of International Student Affairs and Welfare at the university, with the aim of increasing social ties and documenting and enriching human relations between international students.

The event was attended by Dr. Wael Nabil, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Muhareb, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Alexandria, Dr. Abdullah Al-Harhasha, Cultural Advisor to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Cairo, Dr. Raafat Badran, Consul General of Palestine in Alexandria, Mr. Mohamed Hammad, Cultural Affairs Officer at the Palestinian Consulate, Mr. Khairy Abdullah, Education Affairs Officer at the Malaysian Embassy, Mr. Husni Bin Hashim, Director of the Mara Foundation, Dr. Hala Maklad, Director of the International Students Administration at Alexandria University, in addition to representatives of a number of embassies, and 180 foreign students studying at Alexandria University of various Arab, Asian and African nationalities, he also praised the organization of that meeting, which brings together different cultures and helps to integrate and bring together the Egyptian culture with the diverse cultures of the students.
 
 
During the ceremony, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa welcomed all attendees, stressing the university’s keenness to organize this ceremony annually in line with the “Study in Egypt” initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and constructive communication with foreign students studying at Alexandria University, which leaves a good impression in their memory after they return to their home countries.
 
 
The meeting included taking souvenir photos, and an acquaintance session between the students.
