Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, an agreement was signed between Alexandria University and the British University of Essex, in the presence of the Alexandria University delegation, which included Dr. Wael Nabil, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Saeed Allam, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Mohamed Rizk, Emeritus Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Dr. Sameh Shehata, Director of the International Relations Office at Alexandria University.
The Alexandria University delegation visited the British University of Essex and its various colleges and laboratories. The visit included the Colleges of Business Administration, Health and Social Welfare, Social Sciences, Public Health and Sciences, the laboratories of the College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, Sports Medicine Laboratories, and the College of Postgraduate Studies.
It is worth noting that this agreement allows students at the Faculty of Engineering in the fields of computer and communications engineering, mechatronics engineering and electromechanics to obtain a bachelor's degree in engineering in addition to obtaining a master's degree from the University of Essex. The cooperation agreement also witnessed the opening of more cooperation between the two universities in several other fields, the most important of which are business administration, health sciences, dentistry, tourism, submerged antiquities, artificial intelligence applications, and biomedical engineering. This agreement is expected to start from the next academic year.
