Dr. Essam Elkurdy; the President of Alexandria University received a delegation of officials and advisers for international relations and global partnerships from British universities. The delegation visit to AU came within their round visits to number of Egyptian universities to recognize the status of higher education and its scientific and education capabilities.

The Rector emphasized the university determination to cooperate with the British universities through the cooperation agreements between the two sides. Dr. Essam welcomed this visit to open new frontiers for joint cooperation in fields of common interest.

It's worth to mention that the British delegation consisted of the President of Cardiff University Dr. Mohamed Lotfy, Dr. Philip Gilmartin; the Vice President of East Angela University, Emily Gaston; the Officer of Policies in MENA region, Naomy Graham; the Deputy for International Relationship in Edinburg University, Mrs. Heba Mohamed the Vice-Consul of Britich consul in Alexandria and Sahar Khamis, the Chief of Education Programs in  the British Council in Egypt.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hisham Gabr; the Vice President of AU for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Mokhtar Youssef; the Vice President of AU for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Abdel Aziz Konswa; the Vice President of AU for Community Services and Environment Development, Dr. Ibrahim Rehaab; the Rector Adviser for African Affairs and number of teaching staff of Alexandria University.
