The president of Alexandria University, Dr. Essam El-Kurdy received Mrs. Amal Abd El Zaher, the Deputy of Education Directorate in Alexandria on Sunday 25th of February 2018. The Rector and Mrs. Amal preliminary agreed to sign a cooperation protocol between the two sides. They also agreed to perform a complete Retinal Scan for schools students starting from next Saturday in addition to Virus C examination and awareness campaigns against this disease starting by Gamal Abdel Naser secondary school.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Amaal Farahat the acting Deputy of Medical Research Institute, Dr. Fahmy Charl the acting Deputy of Higher Institute for Public Health, Dr. Ahmed El Masry the Professor of Ophthalmology in the Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Abdel Moneam Fawzy the chief of medical convoys committee in the university.
