Alexandria University Deputy for Education and Students Affairs Dr. Hisham Gaber emphasized on his honor of being son of the Faculty of Agriculture. He indicated that the Agriculture is one of the distinguished faculties of AU through its history, where a large number of scientists, researchers, intellectuals, ministers and leaders graduated. He added that the faculty alumni have contributed to enrich the science in Egypt, Arab world and Africa.

This came during the ceremony which was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture on 12/12/2017 on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the faculty. The ceremony was held in the Great Conferences Hall of Alexandria Bibliotheca under title of "Faculty of Agriculture…75 years in the service of Egyptian agriculture".

The Dean Prof. Dr. Abdullah Musaad Zain Aldin said that the faculty is an icon of science and it supports the country with prominent personals in the field of agriculture. He added that the faculty provides academic environment for students and provides full support to the scientific research. It also organizes various sports and cultural activities and that it is working to develop the central laboratories for postgraduate students. It also produces new varieties of wheat and rice and new varieties of rabbits agricultural conferences at local and international levels.
