Alexandria University held a university hearing session on the economic program, with the participation of Acting President Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Vice President Dr. Afaf El-Awfy, Business School Dean Dr. Ayman Shtewy, academics and economic experts, and representatives of the Ministries of Planning, Investment, Finance and Industry, as well as the Central Bank.

The session focused on identifying economic challenges, evaluating existing policies, proposing practical alternatives, and setting priorities for the next five years, in preparation for presenting the outcomes to the National Conference on Partnership and Development.

Four specialized workshops addressed key issues, including foreign currency resources and debt management, the informal economy and private sector, investment, economic transformation, productivity, and competitiveness.

The session emphasized strengthening cooperation between universities, government institutions, and the private sector, and developing evidence-based recommendations that support sustainable economic growth and enhance Egypt’s competitiveness.
