As part of Alexandria University's commitment to advancing digital transformation and improving the services provided to its community, Professor Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, and Mr. Sayed Toman, Vice Chairman of the National Postal Authority (Egypt Post), signed a cooperation protocol to expand postal services for students, faculty members, and employees. The protocol aims to facilitate access to financial and postal services through modern, secure channels, contributing to simplified procedures and improved university services.

The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Professor Jehan Gowfel, Assistant to the President for Internationalization and International Branch Campuses; Professor Mohamed Moataz Khamis, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Professor Wael El-Meghlany, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Professor Magdy Abdel Azim, Executive Director of the University's Information Center; in addition to senior administrative officials of Alexandria University.

Representing the National Postal Authority were Mr. Islam Abdel Ghany, Assistant Vice Chairman for Postal Services; Mr. Abou El-Oyoun Shehata, Head of the Sales Sector; Mr. Hassan Sabbaq, Head of the Supporting Activities Sector; Dr. El-Yamani Gaber, Head of the West Delta Sector; Mr. Atef El-Behairy, General Manager of the Vice Chairman's Office; and Mr. Yasser Abdel Moneim, General Manager of the Alexandria Postal Region.

Professor Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim affirmed that the cooperation reflects the University's vision of expanding smart services and providing integrated solutions that enhance the experience of students, faculty members, and staff. He praised the remarkable progress achieved by Egypt Post in recent years through the modernization of its services and technological infrastructure, enabling it to offer a comprehensive range of financial, postal, and digital services.

He added that the University looks forward to building a strategic partnership with Egypt Post, particularly through the establishment of the first fully integrated post office branch on the Alexandria University campus, enabling students, faculty members, and employees to benefit from the full range of Egypt Post services conveniently and efficiently. He emphasized that this initiative represents a significant addition to the University's service infrastructure and supports its digital transformation efforts while enhancing service quality.

Mr. Sayed Taman stated that cooperation with Alexandria University—one of Egypt's oldest and most prestigious universities—marks an important step toward delivering a comprehensive package of postal and digital financial services that will simplify procedures for students, faculty members, and staff. He noted that the National Postal Authority places great importance on expanding its services within universities and educational institutions as part of its role in supporting the State's digital transformation and financial inclusion strategies. He also affirmed the Authority's commitment to providing modern, secure services that meet the needs of the Alexandria University community and keep pace with technological advancements.

Under the protocol, Egypt Post will provide consular authentication services for university certificates and official documents through post offices, collect tuition fees, student activity fees, graduate studies fees, and fees for issuing university certificates and official documents. The protocol also includes the delivery of graduates' certificates to their residences, salary transfer services for university employees through post offices, as well as financial inclusion services, e-wallets, and other digital services offered by Egypt Post.

The protocol also provides for the establishment of the first fully integrated Egypt Post branch on the University campus, the future installation of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and the introduction of additional services to be agreed upon by both parties, with the aim of facilitating access to services for the University community and enhancing the overall quality and efficiency of service delivery.
