
Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, received Dr. Alaa Salem Al-Zayoud, Media and Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Cairo, to discuss prospects for strengthening cooperation between Alexandria University and the Jordanian Embassy in the academic and cultural fields, as well as enhancing support and services for Jordanian students studying at the University.
At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim welcomed the Jordanian Cultural Attaché, emphasizing the deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He highlighted the strong collaboration between the two countries, particularly in higher education and scientific research, noting that Alexandria University is committed to strengthening its partnerships with Arab educational institutions in a manner that supports educational development and promotes academic integration across the Arab world.
Dr. Abdel Hakim expressed the University's pride in its Jordanian students, praising their academic excellence, commitment, and discipline. He reaffirmed the University's dedication to providing them with a comprehensive educational environment and high-quality support services that ensure an outstanding academic experience and encourage both academic achievement and active engagement in university life.
The Acting President also reviewed Alexandria University's distinguished academic and research capabilities, highlighting its modern academic programs, interdisciplinary fields of study, and joint degree programs with a number of prestigious international universities. He affirmed the University's ongoing commitment to developing its educational offerings in line with the latest international standards, further strengthening its position as a leading destination for international students from around the world.
For his part, Dr. Alaa Salem Al-Zayoud expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and commended Alexandria University's outstanding academic reputation at both the Arab and international levels. He praised the University's continuous support for Jordanian students, both academically and administratively, and reaffirmed the Jordanian Embassy's commitment to expanding cooperation with the University to ensure the best possible care for Jordanian students while opening broader horizons for academic and cultural collaboration between the two sides.
The meeting also explored several proposals aimed at expanding areas of mutual cooperation, fostering the exchange of expertise, strengthening academic and cultural ties between Alexandria University and Jordanian educational institutions, and supporting the advancement of higher education and scientific research.
