During the meeting, the Council reviewed the university’s digital transformation plan and announced the launch of an electronic platform for registering activities and managing research projects. The platform aims to facilitate the follow-up of researchers’ administrative procedures, enhance monitoring efficiency, optimize time management, and streamline various processes.

The Council also reviewed fuel and electricity consumption rates and assessed the commitment of the university’s faculties and institutes to implementing the Cabinet’s directives on energy conservation across state institutions during May and June 2026, as part of national efforts to promote the efficient use of resources and support sustainability goals.

As part of the university’s efforts to strengthen public trust and address misinformation, the Council discussed the provision of secure communication channels to receive and follow up on patients’ suggestions and complaints. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services and reinforce public confidence in the university hospitals. Members also exchanged views on ways to further support the healthcare sector and improve services provided by the university hospitals.

The Council approved a cooperation protocol between the High Institute of Public Health at Alexandria University and the Egyptian Veterinary Syndicate, with the aim of supporting training activities and expanding scientific and community-based collaboration between both parties.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of introducing Micro-Credentials, which are short and flexible educational programs designed to equip learners with specialized competencies that meet labor market demands. These programs offer greater flexibility, encourage self-directed learning, and emphasize practical application, thereby enhancing graduates’ employability and competitiveness.

The Council further reviewed a report on the activities and events organized by the university’s faculties and institutes during June 2026, including workshops, charity exhibitions, community outreach convoys, and a variety of initiatives in the fields of community service and environmental development.
