The Alexandria University Council for Education and Student Affairs held its meeting today under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, to discuss a number of issues related to the educational process and student activities across the university’s faculties and institutes.

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim praised the smooth and well-organized conduct of second semester examinations across the university's faculties, commending the efforts of faculty deans, academic staff, and employees in providing a suitable environment for students and ensuring the efficient administration of the examination process. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to implementing all necessary procedures to guarantee that examinations proceed effectively and in an orderly manner.

He also directed the prompt completion of grading and result compilation procedures and emphasized the importance of announcing results as soon as possible to facilitate matters for students and ensure the continuity of the educational process according to the established academic schedule.

As part of Alexandria University's digital transformation strategy and its efforts to enhance support services for students, particularly students with disabilities, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim commended the distinguished efforts of the teams at the Educational Innovations Center, headed by Dr. Sameh Nakhla, in cooperation with the Faculty of Computers and Data Science, in developing the university's student portal and integrating the “Da'em” tool into the platform, contributing to the provision of more accessible and inclusive educational services for students with different disabilities.

Dr. Sameh Nakhla explained that the student portal currently includes 1,214 published e-books and 768 question banks, in addition to an integrated package of student services, including social solidarity services, medical units, psychological support, university housing, career development centers, youth welfare services, and the organization of various student events and activities. These efforts reflect the university’s commitment to building a comprehensive digital educational environment that supports all students.

The Council also expressed its appreciation for the outstanding organization of the “International Students Cultural Day” celebration, praising the spirit of cultural diversity and human connection reflected during the event, as well as the effective role played by the International Students Union in cooperation with the International Students Affairs Administration and the Youth Welfare Administration in organizing an event that reflected the distinguished standing of Alexandria University.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim and the Council members extended their greetings to Alexandria University’s faculty members, staff, and students on the occasion of the approaching Eid Al-Adha, wishing continued prosperity and blessings for Egypt and the Arab and Islamic nations.
