
Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, affirmed that the university places great importance on developing education and aligning academic disciplines with the actual needs of the labor market. He noted that the university is keen to support serious developmental ideas and initiatives that contribute to preparing graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to compete and keep pace with the rapid changes across various sectors.
His Excellency added that integration between academic and practical aspects has become essential to ensuring the quality of the educational process and enhancing employment opportunities. He stressed the university’s commitment to developing academic programs and improving graduates’ readiness in line with the requirements of local, regional, and international labor markets, in accordance with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
Within this framework, the third meeting of the Executive Committee at Alexandria University for studying the linkage between academic disciplines and labor market needs was held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University.
During the meeting, the Faculty of Education presented its experience as a practical model for linking academic specializations with labor market requirements and needs.
The initiative was launched under the guidance of Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, who praised the efforts exerted by the Faculty of Education and the working team responsible for preparing and implementing the experience.
The committee was also honored by the presence of Dr. Roshdy Zahran, Former President of Alexandria University and Rapporteur of the Supreme Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education, who commended the experience and the developmental visions and practical implementation mechanisms it included. He emphasized the importance of continuing the initiative and developing it into an integrated model that could be generalized and applied in Faculties of Education across Egyptian universities.
For his part, Dr. Saeed Nafie, Former Vice President of Alexandria University, Former Acting President of Damanhour University, and Rapporteur of the Executive Committee at the university, stated that the committee’s third meeting witnessed presentations by the Faculty of Education’s development team on several distinguished and pioneering experiences in academic program development and linking educational outcomes with labor market skills, in the presence of the committee members.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Executive Committee extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hassan Abdeen, Dean of the Faculty of Education, for the excellent organization and his distinguished leadership of the working team. The committee also praised the tremendous efforts exerted by all participants in preparing and presenting the sessions, affirming that the presented experience represents an important step toward developing the university education system and strengthening its alignment with labor market needs.
