
Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, received Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, at the university’s headquarters to discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership and expand prospects for scientific and cultural cooperation between the two institutions.
At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Zayed congratulated Dr. Abdel Hakim on assuming his duties as Acting President of Alexandria University, expressing his appreciation for the university’s pioneering role as a distinguished academic institution that supports the education and research system in Egypt.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim emphasized the deep-rooted historical ties between the university and the library, affirming the university’s commitment to integrating efforts with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina as a global beacon of cultural enlightenment. He noted that the coming period will witness significant momentum in joint activities aimed at serving researchers and strengthening Alexandria’s position as an international hub for academic excellence.
The two sides also discussed the importance of organizing additional cultural seminars and scientific forums, aimed at raising youth awareness and keeping pace with global developments in innovation and sustainable development. They further explored ways to enhance knowledge exchange mechanisms by providing access to digital resources and advanced research services offered by the library to students and faculty members at the university.
