
Alexandria University organized its annual Ramadan iftar at the Faculty of Engineering, attended by Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Eng. Ayman Mohamed Attia, Governor of Alexandria; Dr. Walid Abdelazim El-Barqi, Governor of the Red Sea; and Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Governor of Beheira. The gathering reflected a spirit of connection and cooperation between academic and executive leadership.
The event was also attended by Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University; Dr. Hesham Saeed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Wael Mohamed El-Maghlani, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Also present were Eng. Tarek El-Nabarawy, President of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate and Head of the Federation of Arab Engineers; Dr. Mohamed Hesham Saudi, Head of the Engineers Syndicate of Alexandria; a number of former university presidents, faculty deans, members of the academic staff, and a distinguished group of public figures and leaders in the academic and community sectors.
During the gathering, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that the Ramadan meeting reflects the strong ties and cooperation between Alexandria University and various state institutions. He noted that the Faculty of Engineering is one of the most prestigious engineering schools in Egypt and the region, playing a leading role in preparing generations of distinguished engineers who have contributed to many national and development projects both inside and outside Egypt.
The event also witnessed a warm and friendly atmosphere, as attendees exchanged Ramadan greetings, highlighting the importance of such gatherings in strengthening communication and cooperation between academic and executive leaders, and supporting the role of universities in serving society and contributing effectively to the country’s development efforts.
