Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Acting President of Alexandria University, accompanied by Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, paid a visit to Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to extend their congratulations on the issuance of the decision appointing him as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The visit took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital and was attended by a delegation of university leaders, including presidents and vice presidents, reflecting the university community’s pride in this occasion and its full support for the Ministry’s new leadership.

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes for success in carrying out the Minister’s new responsibilities, affirming the confidence of the Alexandria University community in his ability to continue advancing the higher education and scientific research system in Egypt and to enhance the regional and international competitiveness of Egyptian universities.

He further emphasized Alexandria University’s full support for the strategies and directions adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aim to enhance the quality of education, promote scientific research and innovation, and strengthen international partnerships, in line with sustainable development goals and Egypt’s national vision.

Dr. Affaf Al-Oufy also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Minister on assuming his new post, stressing that the coming phase requires the integration of efforts among higher education institutions to serve society and support sustainable development initiatives. She expressed her confidence that the higher education system will witness further progress in innovation, linking scientific research to societal needs, and reinforcing the role of universities in community and environmental service.
