The Education and Student Affairs Council at Alexandria University convened its meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Acting President of the University. At the outset, the Council extended its sincere congratulations to Abdelaziz Konsowa on the issuance of the presidential decree appointing him Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, wishing him continued success in fulfilling his national responsibilities and in advancing the development of higher education and scientific research in Egypt.

Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim noted that this appointment reflects the confidence in the Minister’s distinguished academic and administrative expertise, as well as his forward-looking vision that contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian universities and improving their educational and research outcomes.

During the meeting, the Council praised the smooth and disciplined progress of the educational process with the start of the second semester across the University’s faculties and institutes, affirming the University administration’s commitment to providing an organized and stimulating academic environment that supports academic achievement and ensures the quality of services offered to students.

The Council also directed deans and vice deans to continue supporting student activities as a fundamental pillar in building well-rounded university personalities, developing leadership and teamwork skills, and strengthening students’ sense of belonging. It further emphasized the importance of activating academic advising to monitor students’ academic performance, provide necessary support, and address any challenges they may encounter throughout their educational journey.

The Council extended its sincere appreciation to the teams at the Educational Innovations Center, headed by Dr. Sameh Nakhla, and to the Faculty of Computers and Data Science at Alexandria University for their dedicated efforts and outstanding success in developing the e-book system and the student portal, contributing to a modern digital learning experience aligned with the latest global standards.

In conclusion, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim congratulated the University community on the approaching holy month of Ramadan, praying that it returns to Egypt with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.
