Alexandria University participated in the activities of the Egyptian–French Scientific and Academic Cooperation Day, which was attended by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and hosted by CY Cergy Paris University, within the framework of strengthening the strategic partnership between Egypt and France in the fields of higher education and scientific research.

Alexandria University was represented during the event by Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim, Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Students Affairs, and Dr. Gehan Joyful, Assistant to the President of Alexandria University for Internationalization of Education and International Branch Campuses. They took part in the forum’s sessions and coordination meetings with a number of leaders of French universities and academic institutions.

The representatives of Alexandria University affirmed that these agreements come within the framework of the University’s strategy and vision, which is strongly supported by Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University. This strategy aims to expand dual degree programs, enhance international academic partnerships, and align educational programs with the needs of the global labor market, thereby increasing the competitiveness of Alexandria University graduates at both the regional and international levels. This reflects the University’s pioneering role in supporting international academic cooperation and consolidating its position as one of Egypt’s leading universities in building global educational and research partnerships.

On the sidelines of the event, Alexandria University signed a number of academic cooperation agreements with prestigious French universities and educational institutions.

The agreements were signed by Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Hakim on behalf of Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of the University, as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic partnerships.

The agreements included the following:

- University of Caen Normandy: Cooperation agreements were signed in the fields of pharmacy, agriculture, and applied languages. These agreements include a French dual master’s degree in Pharmacy (Drug Design), representing a significant step that reflects the advancement of academic cooperation in medical and health-related fields.

- CY Cergy Paris University: An agreement was signed in the field of engineering, aiming to support dual degree programs and promote the exchange of students and faculty members.

- Vatel International Business School: A cooperation agreement was signed in the field of hotel management and tourism with ten Egyptian universities, contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates in accordance with international standards and supporting joint applied educational programs.
