In line with Alexandria University’s commitment to broadening students’ horizons and enhancing cultural and intellectual exchange with various international institutions, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, a group of students visited the headquarters of the Italian Consulate in Alexandria, where they toured the Mediterranean Exhibition hosted inside the consulate.

During the visit, the students enjoyed an informative briefing delivered by the Italian Consul in Alexandria, Mr. Mario De Pasquale, through which they learned about the cultural and civilizational dimensions of the Mediterranean region and its shared heritage that unites its countries and peoples throughout history. They also had the opportunity to interact with the exhibition’s displays, which highlight the historical, artistic, and architectural connections between Egypt and Italy and shed light on the Mediterranean’s role as a bridge for cultural and civilizational exchange.

The visit also included enriching discussions between the students and the exhibition organizers, contributing to the development of the students’ skills and broadening their cultural and academic perspectives.

This visit comes as part of the university’s keenness to support activities that enhance students’ cultural awareness, open new horizons for exploring different cultures, and promote dialogue among civilizations.
