As part of the celebrations marking the glorious October victories, and under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces, represented by the Military Education Department at the university, organized a student trip to the October War Panorama.
The visit included the participation of students from the Taha Hussein Center for Students with Disabilities, who, together with their fellow university students, expressed their pride and appreciation for the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces throughout history, and their aspiration to be the continuation of the October generation—the makers of that historic victory.
The program featured tours of the wings dedicated to the main branches and specialized departments of the Armed Forces, which display models of the weapons and equipment used during the October 1973 War. The students also visited Hall (2), which houses the main panoramic display of the crossing operation, the storming of the Bar Lev Line strongholds, and the repulsion of enemy counterattacks, in addition to the battle to liberate the city of Qantara East. Their tour continued with a visit to Hall (3), dedicated to illustrating the crossing operation using modern graphic techniques.
Colonel Mohamed Maher, Director of the Military Education Department at Alexandria University, stressed that such visits aim to instill values of loyalty and belonging in young people and to acquaint them with the heroism and sacrifices of the Armed Forces. He noted that today’s students are the extension of the generation of the crossing and the makers of the future.
