Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, congratulated the university’s scholars who were selected in Stanford University’s 2024 list of the world’s top 2% most-cited and most influential scientists across various fields and disciplines.

A total of 74 scientists from Alexandria University were included, representing 14 faculties and institutes: Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture (Saba Pasha), Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts, Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, High Institute of Public Health, and Medical Research Institute. This wide representation reflects the breadth of excellence spanning scientific, medical, engineering, and humanities fields.

Prof. Konsowa explained that the inclusion of 74 Alexandria University scholars in Stanford’s 2024 list highlights the university’s leading position both locally and globally, as they accounted for nearly 7% of all Egyptian scientists featured. He stressed that this recognition stands as an international testimony to the strength of the university’s research and the diversity of its disciplines. He further noted that the Stanford ranking is among the world’s most important indicators for measuring researchers’ impact and the quality of their scientific output, reflecting the success of Alexandria University’s research strategy in supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 for advancing higher education and scientific research, enhancing international collaboration, and expanding global scientific publications.
