Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, witnessed today, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the launch of the 17th edition of the "EDUGATE 2025" International Education Exhibition in its Alexandria edition, held at the Hilton Green Plaza Hotel, with broad participation from Egyptian and international universities.
This edition is held under the theme "The Future of Education Begins in Egypt", and is sponsored by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities. Among the attendees were Dr. Ali Shams, President of EDUGATE Exhibition, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Alexandria University, Dr. Mona Gamal El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering at the Egyptian-Japanese University, Dr. Ahmed Tantawy, Executive Director of the Exhibition, Dr. Ayman Ismail, General Director of the Exhibition, Dr. Hala Mokled, Director of the International Students Office at Alexandria University, and Dr. Noufi bin Taj El-Din, Director of the “Study in Malaysia” program under the Malaysian Ministry of Education, in addition to a number of representatives from public, private, and national Egyptian universities, as well as several representatives of foreign universities.
EDUGATE is considered one of the most prominent academic events in Egypt and the Arab world. It serves as a strategic platform for direct communication between universities, students, and their families. The exhibition aims to showcase leading academic programs and available study opportunities locally and internationally. Alexandria University and Alexandria National University both participated with two booths that offered an outstanding presentation of their academic and research programs, with a focus on modern programs and international partnerships with prestigious universities around the world.
Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa expressed his pride in the university’s participation in this event, emphasizing that EDUGATE represents a strategic platform for showcasing the distinguished academic offerings of Egyptian universities. It helps students make informed decisions about their academic future through direct engagement with representatives of educational institutions. He added that Alexandria University’s participation aligns with its strategy for community outreach and increasing awareness of its unique programs, especially those in collaboration with global universities and research centers that link education with the labor market.
The organization of EDUGATE reflects Egypt's commitment to supporting education as one of the pillars of sustainable development, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, aimed at building qualified and competitive human resources both regionally and globally. The exhibition saw a large turnout from high school students and their parents, in addition to the participation of universities from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, the UAE, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and others.
The exhibition is scheduled to conclude this evening, with the participation of a distinguished group of academic and diplomatic figures, as well as leaders in the education sector and representatives of civil society.
