As part of Alexandria University's commitment to supporting and activating the scientific and academic role of its branch in Chad, and working to complete its academic and infrastructure components, and on behalf of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Dr. Ali Abdelmohsen, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, made an official visit to the Alexandria University branch in N'Djamena, Chad, to follow up on developments at the branch and discuss avenues for joint academic cooperation.

The visit included a meeting with Dr. Tom Erdimi, Minister of Higher Education, to discuss ways to develop the university branch and allocate 10 acres for the establishment of a model farm affiliated with the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. The hospital will also serve various medical specialties, such as ophthalmology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, oral surgery, and orthopedics. The Chadian government will allocate the necessary land for this purpose after receiving architecture plans from Alexandria University.

Dr. Abdelmohsen noted that the visit also included participation in the 47th Conference of the African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research (CAMES), which was held in the presence of Ambassador Maye Halina, Prime Minister of Chad, and Dr. Tom Erdimi, Minister of State and Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Vocational Training, along with a number of university presidents, ministers, ambassadors, and faculty members from various African countries.

On the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Abdelmohsen met with Professor Souleymane Konaté, Secretary-General of CAMES, where they discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of faculty evaluation and the exchange of academic and scientific expertise.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the organization expressed his great welcome for the cooperation with Alexandria University, praising its expertise and academic standing. He also announced the organization's openness to other official languages, including Arabic, which opens the door to further cooperation in the future.
