The results of the July 2025 edition of the Webometrics Ranking revealed a remarkable achievement for Alexandria University, which advanced 44 places globally, moving up from rank 677 in January to 633 in the latest release. The university has also retained its 2nd place nationally among Egyptian universities.

Professor Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, emphasized that this achievement is the result of the sincere efforts of the university’s faculty, researchers, students, and staff. He noted that the university’s progress in international rankings reflects its strong commitment to developing its scientific research system, enhancing its digital presence, and expanding collaboration with global academic institutions. He added that the university is working according to an ambitious strategic vision based on excellence, innovation, and international partnerships — aligned with Egypt’s vision to build globally competitive universities that support sustainable development goals.

Over the past years, Alexandria University has continued its efforts to develop its digital infrastructure, support researchers, encourage publication in reputable scientific journals, and implement policies that foster academic openness and internationalization of education.
