As part of the Faculty of Agriculture's efforts to strengthen the link between academic education and the labour market, and under the auspices of Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Agriculture at Saba Pasha Campus held its employment forum at the faculty's headquarters. The forum was attended by several leading agricultural companies, faculty members, students, and alumni.
Dr. Ahmed Abdelfattah Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in Saba Pasha, noted that the forum's activities included scientific and awareness seminars on employment skills and job opportunities in the agricultural sector, discussions between students and company representatives on professional challenges, and practical guidance on preparing for the labour market. He added that many participating companies offered immediate employment and training opportunities to a large number of students, including Orkem Trading and Agriculture Company, Younis Apiary, Aladdin Poultry Company, Al Waha Company, Green Argy Company, Life Company, and Rich Grow Company. He explained that these opportunities varied between field training and direct jobs in the sectors of animal production, crops, food processing, protection, and agricultural extension.
Dr. Ibrahim Abbas El-Sayed, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, indicated that the employment and training opportunities provided by the participating companies to students and graduates of the faculty are real opportunities to develop their skills and prepare them to engage in various fields of agricultural work.
Dr. Iman Ayyad, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty, noted that the forum featured scientific and awareness seminars on employment skills and job opportunities in the agricultural sector, discussions between students and company representatives on professional challenges, and practical guidance on preparing for the labour market.
Dr. Shaima Shaheen, Associate Professor in the Department of Animal and Fisheries Production at the Faculty, participated in coordinating the forum's activities.
