Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, the Faculty of Engineering organized a distinctive Ramadan Iftar party for international students registered at the Faculty. The event brought together international students from over 15 countries worldwide, fostering a spirit of brotherhood and tolerance in their second home, Egypt.

The party was attended by Prof. Dr. Walid Abd Elazim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Essam Wahba, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Wael Elmaglany, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Acting Vice Dean of Community Services and Environmental Development Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Hassan Elregal, Executive Director of Specialized Scientific Programs and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mordi, General Coordinator of Public Programs.
Also in attendance were Dr. Mai Abdo, Director of the International Students Office; Prof. Dr. Hala Mekled, Director of International Students Affairs at Alexandria University; the Faculty Secretary; and the Director of Educational Affairs.
The event was also honored by the presence of His Excellency Col. Frank Bakunzi, Military Attaché of the Republic of Rwanda, who praised the friendly atmosphere that characterized the event. He commended the role played by the Faculty of Engineering and Alexandria University in supporting international students and providing an academic and social environment that enhances their educational experience in Egypt.
This gathering is part of the "Study in Egypt" initiative, adopted by the state, to promote Egypt as a leading educational destination and attract international students to study at Egyptian universities. This initiative reflects the state's keenness to provide distinguished education and enhance cultural exchange among different nationalities, creating an integrated academic environment that meets the needs of international students and helps them achieve their academic aspirations.
The participants expressed their delight at the gathering, which provided an opportunity to interact with colleagues from various nationalities. They emphasized the importance of organizing such events, which promote cultural integration and strengthen friendships among students.
The attendees called for repeating such successful gatherings, which play a vital role in creating a more cohesive and supportive university environment for international students. This aligns with the Faculty of Engineering and Alexandria University's interest in caring for international students and providing an academic and social environment that makes them feel loved and proud in their second home, Egypt.
